Blais is going to pull a Herbie and suit up David Toews in the 2nd, just to scare the current guys on the pre-roster.

I say boo Blais and Kristo! I remember that happening to Jeff Ulmer the year after he left college and he came back to play the Sioux with the Canadian National Team. The entire student section during warm-ups, "ULMER, ULMER...YOU SUCK!!!" Jeff thought it was pretty funny too.

Wow. I agree with "Team First," but when recovering from a concussion, "Team" doesn't really matter until you can take care of yourself. You're basically saying that Chay should forgo his personal safety, which could result in lifelong effects, for the Team? Completely disagree. I want to see Chay back as soon as possible, but if he's not able to make it back this year, but does make it back next year, regardless of the team he's playing for, and he's healthy, I'd much rather see that. The kid appears to be having difficulty keeping his head clear and you want him to give it the "old college try?"

Sioux can't blow a two goal lead tonight. Maybe they'll actually show in the 3rd. 2nd period continues to be our period. 1st period, we looked like a very young team, and Sconnie schooled us.

Parise may want to request NOT to room with him at the Olympics!
-
Zajac with a goal, and Parise with an assist in tonight's Devils/Sabres game. Parise goal disallowed due to being kicked in. He tried! Brodeur gets the record tying shutout record at 103.

A friend of mine said she heard on the way out of the arena Saturday night, some guy saying he won $1,000 on a bet and that his Dad was one of the ref's. I asked her if she knew which ref, but she said she didn't hear that. Wondering if that came out elsewhere and if that could have something to do with the MIA status.

TH also said he skated in morning skate, but it was apparent early on in morning skate that he wasn't going to be able to go last night.
-
Hak commenting on that too. Says that none of the 4 stripes saw that play, and the puck ended up in the net right after that. It's a non-reviewable play during the game, but yeah, the league office should (though they won't) review that crap.
-
Dogs score. That sucks.
-
Brad says the puck hit the net above the glass before it went into the goal, meaning play should've been ruled dead. TH didn't say anything about that though.

Duluth with the PP for the final seconds too.
-
Damn Duluth ties it at 2.

CC needs to win tonight to slow up Denver.

Hak post-game comments: It was a good hockey game. Pretty good game up and down. A lot of good plays made. Different outcome than last Saturday night. Come out with 2 points. I thought they had the majority of the 3rd, until strangely enough, the penalty kill with 5 minutes to go. We got aggressive, held the blue line, and got back to our aggressive ways. The 2nd period had a heck of a lot of good in it. We had an okay PP. Darcy made a heck of a play to put one in the net and that one really ignited us. I think that may have been our best period of the year. When the puck left his tape, it couldn't of been more than 4 or 5 inches off the ice, and it caught top shelf. The 2nd goal, we found a bounce to get it into the goal. I thought Rider was fighting it some tonight. We had 3 or 4 good opportunities on that PP and finally Gregoire finished it off. The only thing I can come up with for Eids is one puck may have bounced out of his glove, and they got a rebound chance on him. I'd have to be pretty picky to find something wrong with his play tonight. I don't know what it looks like up here, but on the ice, you take two strides and you're through the neutral zone, so forwards have to be quick, have their heads up, and know what they want to do with it. I thought we did a good job tonight at creating opportunities, creating cycles, and getting chances. We came to the rink today with our lunch pails. I don't think we had any passengers. Everyone came to play. That's what it takes. Duluth is hard to beat in this building. We knew they were going to come out and play very well. We knew we were going to have to kill two penalites. They made a hungry play to make it 3-2. It was a heck of a game and it should be another heck of a game, up and down, tomorrow night.

He may be what the first line needs. I agreed with Hak moving off the first line to lighten up the pressure for him, and it appears to have worked, as Kristo's caught fire the past 3 weeks. He's definitely turning into the player we all thought he'd be. Fun to watch too.

It was gut check time and Kristo and Gregoire showed up. Nice.

Sioux take a slashing penalty. Let's go PK!!!
-
2nd game in a row the Sioux have come into the 3rd with a two goal lead, after GREAT 2nd periods, and played sub-par hockey.
-
Trupp going to the box for tripping. Let's go PK!!! BE the wall!
