Parise has 2 primary assists in tonights Devils/Penguins game.

Kangas has shown that he'll be a top goaltender, and I don't look forward to playing against him the next few years. Same as Bachman.

CHN reporters perspective on the game tonight.

I blame the tie solely on Dagies, for starting the thread today. The last 3 times I started it, we've won. AZ...your records really not good this year!
-
Yeah, they said his dad was at last nights Rangers game, and I said to myself, "Good, Zach will play good then!"
-
That may help us, but you hate to see a key player like him get hurt.
-
Had I still been in college or the Navy, I'm sure I would have. Fortunately, I had sensed up enough to know he wasn't worth it. Besides, I was enjoying looking at the waitresses too much in the bar.

Did I say they weren't homers? There are some idiot Gopher fans out there, I'll agree with that, I thought I was going to have to fight one after the Final 5 a few years back; but there are also some level-headed fans out there too. Just an FYI, every fanbase has their share of idiots, including ours. We have enough to give back to plenty of villages.

Cool. I'll sell it on E-bay!

I guess he's speechless?

And that post right there displays the character you have. First and foremost, it's a game. Defending a person who has been nothing but civil, regardless of his allegiance, is not a bad thing.
-
For my students who want to do that, I color their noses brown with a marker! Okay, I really don't!
-
Personally, I think it has to be a locker room problem. They showed the Gopher bench tonight, when they were winning, 1-0, and they all looked disheartened. If I were a fan, I'd be pissed at that! Something just isn't gelling for them. It's not always about recruiting the best players, but rather, the right players.
-
The Sioux have had some rough years too, but I've always stuck by them through thick and thin. Just the way it is as a true fan.
-
After reviewing it, the hit on Oshie wasn't that hard. Osh definitely takes more during games/weekends. However, with emotions as high as they were tonight, and his teammates probably knowing that Osh was playing hurt, it was a natural thing for Zajac to do.
-
And this forum is here for you to give that opinion, but why move to the next level? We've got many Gopher fans who troll on this site from time to time, but Sagard's not one of them. He admits when his team plays like s&*@ and is a good sport when our team comes up on the short end. He doesn't come on this site and try to goad people into arguments. He's probably more upset about his team not getting the 2 points, as he knows they needed it.
-
Here we go with cyberbullying. Sagard's a good guy. Just emotional about the game, as he should be. He's a fan sticking by his team.
-
I added that to my original post as an edit to give an example.
-
C'mon Sagard. When guys go after your top guys, teammates stick up for them. You'd expect it from your players, we expect it from ours. Woog even made the comment how that's what the Sioux do so well that the Gophers don't do. That's hockey. Gophers don't do any chicken hitting? I seem to remember Bickel hitting Big Joe in the side/back of the head when he was going after Wheeler.

As Hakstol said, "I think 16 came right at Oshie with a cross check, and we're not going to sit back and take that." As my dad used to say, "Can't play with the big boys, get off the ice!"
-
Hakstol's post-game comments: Yeah, it was a battle right from the word "Go." Go down on a CFB, and that was the right call, so what do you do. It was a battle, and we got 3 out of 4 points on the road. There wasn't a whole lot of smooth tonight, but you know what, it was hard fought. On a game on the Olympic sheet, the checking was hard. Both teams weren't going to give up a lot. Plays were taken away by penalties. Phil made 3 or 4 saves and so did there guy. I don't know who you give the nod to, both were good. On a game where there's really no flow, it's amazing it was only a 1-1 game. Oshie is certainly hurting a bit, but when you look at his effort, it's nothing short of where he's been the past month. He had a few chances to get us the two points, but didn't get it. When the emotions are that high, it's a little like a powder keg. One push and shove and you have 40 guys on the ice. You don't need it at the end of the game, but it is what it is when it comes to that. I don't think anything will come out of that. We'll have to see. I think 16 came right at Oshie with a cross check, and we're not going to sit back and take that. 3 out of 4 points is good when you're playing a team like that. I wanted us to show up tonight, and I think we did. It was good competition.

They did! But that's okay! That's old time hockey!!!
