  1. Kaiper with some nice moves shorthanded.
  2. Penalty on the Sioux. Weak call on Malone. Let's go PK!!!
  3. Vande almost sneaks one in.
  4. Just corrected that.
  5. Malone gets a nice chance and than JPL bails us out with a nice save.
  6. The last 21 times now.
  7. PP over.
  8. Duncan gets a shot on net. Other than that, our PP hasn't done anything yet.
  9. DU penalty on Oshie. Let's go PP!!!
  10. Nice try by Kaip, and I think it was Watkins on the rebound chance.
  11. Underway! Go Sioux!!!
  12. Here, Here!!!
  13. Hard to say. You can't really compare them to Kevin Porter in the CCHA, because they actually let him play without getting mobbed, and not calling any penalties. I would say Oshie is one of the top forwards, if not the top. I think Duncan will be back for his senior year.
  14. Eades pre-game comments: I don't think any momentum has been lost over the break. We need to keep it simple early on and get back into our game. It's not a bad time of the year to have a week off to get some guys some rest, and we'll be ready to go at it again tonight. A lot of offensive talent on both sides of the ice. First goal is very important, but we've fought back when we haven't gotten it. We'll have to see how the PP's play out, but on paper, it looks like a low scoring game. Their freshman line aren't 3 normal freshman. They're similar to Trupp and Frattin, and they've got half a season under the belt, so they're not freshman anymore. They haven't played in this building yet, so maybe that will have some affect on them. Frattin is really playing his game, making solid plays and contributing. He may have tried to do too much early on, but now he's found his game. Hopefully, him and Trupp can get something going. We've done a lot of good things and we just need to get back to basics on the PP. Need to get some shots, and hopefully get a few against Mannino. Every play doesn't have to be tic-tac-toe on the PP. We have a number of different goals this year. First off is securing home ice, then advancing on to the F5, and then comes the big games. Coach Hakstol is our leader. He's got everyone prepared for tonight. We just need to go out and execute the way he's designed the game plan.
  15. 3 point night for Toews as he had an assist too.
  16. I've been waiting for that. Thanks!
  17. I just saw that too. How the heck does he afford a plane ticket and hotel fare?? Sounds like scandal! Nice move though. Hope it doesn't pay off for DU!
  18. Toews puts in another, and I was going to go to this game tonight!!! Call me a dumb a$$!
  19. Toews gets a primary assist on his first game back off the injury.
  20. I believe so. It's in the game preview that he'll be back tonight.
  21. Here's the write-up on Zednik from NHL.com.
  22. I saw the hit too, and if it makes you feel better, I thought it was a knee too. The entire arena was absolutely quiet after the accident tonight. It was really quite eery. Been watching hockey now for over 25 years now, and that incident was one I've never seen before live, nor ever hope to see again.
  23. Not a former player, but his teams playing Drew Stafford's team...Richard Zednik just had a main artery in his neck cut by a teammates skate (Jokinen) in tonight's Sabres/Panthers. Pretty graphic sight...I'm sure they'll talk about it on SportsCenter, but will be interesting to see if they show it. He's in stable condition right now. Buffalo fans with a standing ovation when they got that news. Great site after an awful scene.
  24. They don't teach the Air Force cadets hand to hand combat. They put mints on their pillows and tuck them into bed every night!
  25. That won't surprise me. Wisconsin was simply a stepping stone for him to get some experience at the next level. I can see one and done for him.
