  1. Gophers score again, 5-3.
  2. Go Huskies! I type that and they score!!!!! 1-0!
  3. Hey! I'm the Devils reporter! FYI AZSIOUX, should be able to get that game you've been wanting finished over Thanksgiving break.
  4. Neither ZPar or Zajac get a point in tonight's Devils game, but Parise does score in the shootout, as the Devils win it.
  5. David Hale sent down to Lowell today. He's been practicing with the team, but hasn't played any regular season games. I'm assuming this is to get him back in to game shape. It also may be because the current defenseman are playing decent for the most part, but let's hope David makes it back to New Jersery very quickly.
  6. There's never a good time for a weekend off for hockey fans! Oh well, thanks for the recap PCM!
  7. When I taught in GF, I used to invite Sioux players to my classroom/school for "Read Across America" day. The kids always loved it.
  8. Here's a nice article on Travis Zajac. Zajac Article
  9. I've been to games there and it's an alright arena. I don't think it compares to the old building, but it can get pretty loud at times. I only had one problem there back a few years ago when Parise tied it to send it to OT and Massen ended it in OT (I think that's how it went...may have been the other way around). Anyway, some old guy wanted to take me outside. He told me to sit down when I stood up for the tying goal. I taunted him a little, but nothing too bad (or I didn't think so - my brothers thought we were going to have to run for it ). I also stood behind the glass for a game to yell at Coole during some Xmas games. Bochenski hit the crossbar and the game ended in a tie. I yelled, "You got lucky Coole!" He just nodded his head. Dagies was with us on that trip, but if I remember correctly, he sat in our seats rather than behind the glass to badger Coole . So anyway, most of the fans are pretty good. You get the few you bother you, but you find that in any arena. Overall it was a good experience.
  10. Robbie mentioned on the post-game interview with Sweeney that they had worked on it in practice, but yet, it was something they probably should have done. Good thing it worked out for the best.
  11. Rules also state that if a player takes the goal off to prevent a goal (Friday Gopher/Duluth game) or players cover up puck outside the crease or against the board to delay the game, the ref has the option to call a penalty shot, but you never see it. I understand what you're saying about not having enough time left on the clock to set up any type of attack or scoring opportunity, but I do feel the refs in the league are pretty consistent. They all suck! Okay, in reality, I don't think our refs do that bad of a job. Well most of them anyway. I won't comment on Anderson.
  12. I didn't think it should've been a penalty shot. It was definitely a penalty, but I didn't think Porter had the clear breakaway to warrant a penalty shot. Yes, it would have been nice to see us get a penalty shot, but I try to look at every situation from both sides of the coin (if the North Dakota player took out the Husky) to help and keep it fair and balanced. The Husky took out Porter, but he did so with his stick and his body. If it's a clear break, I wouldn't expect his body to be in on it unless he hooked him back to him.
  13. I'll rephrase it for you then. IMHO, the Sioux were lucky a lot of times that the Husky's didn't end it prior to OT. What did they miss, 2 or 3 open nets? Yes, the Sioux had their chances too, but Goepfert was in good positon on the majority of those. Not blaming Grieco necessarily. Just think we were pretty lucky to get out of tonights game with the 1 point, and I'm content with that. As far as the Toews kick, replay did show it go into Goepfert first before going into the goal, at least it looked that way on my little fuzzy videocast. BigGreyAnt made a valid point though that the call on the ice was a goal to begin with.
  14. It clearly went into Goepfert, which is why I thought it should be allowed. All the pushing in front is what caused it to go in, not Toews actual kicking of the puck.
  15. I did not notice, but I sure wish I could rewind to see.
  16. SCSU outplayed us in a lot of areas. I personally think the Toews goal should have counted, but I'm not the ref, and don't know the exact rule on that type of play. Should probably be happy with the 1 point.
  17. It's a donnybrook!
  18. I thought Jonesy got pretty good wood on the St. Cloud player. I wouldn't argue that penalty.
  19. Not enough of a breakaway for a penalty shot though.
  20. Hak on the dasher!
  21. Good kill!
  22. That's what I like to see! A goalie get taken out and get right back up! Don't see that often enough. Sioux penalty though!
  23. Wow! OT, but barely!
  24. DOT line all over Geopfert, but can't get one by him!
  25. Sioux luck out there!!!! Husky missed the net!
