I wasn't even sitting at my computer when it happened, nor did I have this site up . Pays to have really high speed internet I guess.

Stafford with a brilliant between the legs back pass to set up a Vanek goal.
-
Parise puts in #7.

Gordie Howe hat trick is a goal, an assist and is in a fight (some definitions say you have to win the fight, others say you have to just be in a fight), not a penalty.

Except isn't next years Frozen Four a week later than normal, which would mean that providing we were to make it to the Frozen Four, the Blackhawks season would be over, as we know they won't be making the playoffs again!

Not only does Zach go to the player who scored, but he's usually more excited than the player who scored the goal. It always looks like the player is thinking in his mind, "Dude, relax...it's just a goal." Zach loves the game and it always shines through.

Not all threads have to pertain to Sioux hockey, and it states clearly in the thread title that it has nothing to do with Sioux hockey. As mentioned, every building has this type of fans. It seems like people go out of their way to try to convince everyone how bad Gopher fans treat opposing fans. I've seen some really bad Gopher fans, but some really classy Gopher fans. Some of the classy Gopher fans even post on this site. I've also seen some really bad Sioux fans, and some really classy Sioux fans. Every fan base has them, and in reality, it's highly likely that the bad fans will be students. I'm not saying all students are bad fans, but some students definitely like to start crap with opposing fans. As for clips like this, I always hope that the parents of these kids get a chance to view their kids online, and see how they're behaving in public. I'll admit, I did some dumb things when I was their age, and I'm very glad that my mother did not see my behavior. Kids will be kids and they'll eventually grow up. Most of them become classy fans, but not all of them. Just don't see any reason to point out Gopher fans when in reality, you could go to any building on any given night with a video camera, and get footage of similar behaviors of the home teams fans.

Devils win! Nice shot block by Travis in the last two minutes.
-
Hull just said that the next person who uses his stick flagrantly should get a 50 or 100 game suspension. I agree with him. Maybe if it's that stiff of a penalty, guys will start thinking about it rather than just doing it.
-
Have to lift those backhands top shelf. Parise's really developed a knack for doing that this year. He doesn't just put it high, but hits the top of the net.
-
Travis can't get it in on a breakaway! Exciting game now!
-
Zajac gets a crap call against him, with a diving call. Travis on a breakaway, lost an edge, and called for diving.
-
Unfortunately, the Lightning have all the momentum and this crowd is LOUD!
-
I thought it should have been more. Not as severe as Simon's, but it was still flagrant swinging of the stick, and the message needs to be sent to players that it's not going to be allowed.
-
After Zach took the penalty, I said not good. Lightning score, and that's why it's not good!

McClennan (backup goalie for Calgary) suspended for 5 games. Hope Calgary can find a backup real quick!
-
Pretty good game thus far if you're a Devils fan. Appears that Brodeur has definitely found his groove again. Gave up the one, but has made some spectacular saves too. Need Parise to get a bounce here to add to his goal total. Zajac needs one more assist to tie the Devils rookie record for assists in the playoffs. Providing the Devils win today, he should be able to get that in the next round, if it doesn't happen today.

Calgary has plain and simple shown their lack of character. It's one thing to be emotional, but the tactics they're pulling out there would be enough to be assault charges outside the arena. I'm not a Red Wings fan by any means, but this is just a piss poor performance by Calgary.
-
That's in the same league as the Chris Simon incident, so I'm sure he will have to find a new backup. Senseless move. At 35, he must realize that his career in the NHL is over.
-
Dumba$$es like that are what make people hate our sport. I'm okay with the rough stuff in the playoffs, but that's the crap that has to go. Maybe the NHL has to start banning the guys who do that kind of crap. EDIT: McClennan will probably need a police escort from the arena to the airport in Detroit.

Red Wings/Flames game has gotten really ugly. That usually happens with a 4-1 game in the playoffs. Can't take my eyes of the TV without something new developing.
-
But I bet you didn't see every Devils game in the regular season, which I was able to do with NHL Center Ice Package. I was also able to watch any other game I chose to watch. It always seems spendy in October, but I'm always glad I dropped the money on it later in the year.

Zach's been doing the fist pumps as of late, but what's unique about him is how happy he always seems to be when he scores a goal. Not just now in the playoffs, but the first game of the year, the 17th game of the year, the whatever game of the year. The Devils' announcers have commented on it quite a bit this year, and pretty much say that plain and simple, "This kid just loves to play the game" and that's evident on every shift he plays. It's what we saw for 2 years when he was at UND, and it's never stopped since. He's made it to the top level of hockey, but he's never satisified with his performance, and he realizes that what he does for a living is plays a game, and you can see how much fun he has doing that. A lot of players don't appear to feel this same way once they make it to the NHL, and I hope that doesn't happen to Zach for quite a while, because simply put, his joy of playing the game is what makes him so much fun to watch.

They're the ZZ Pops line with Langenbrunner being "Pops."
-
They're a distraction to the game, but that's not always bad.
