Sioux fan since '90

Sioux look like they are playing like they should be now. They are definitely dominating this period so far. Now all we need to do is score a couple of goals. GO SIOUX!!

I can't believe these announcers! They just said the sioux might be wearing down a little bit. In other words, they said the sioux might be getting tired! Give me a break! We all know this is their worst period. If they can get through this period, and pick it up in the 3rd, I think we'll be o.k.

Denver man in the crease. Sioux ice the puck. The sioux putting on pressure on Denver's goalie, but nothing came out of it. Penalty on Denver, Sioux going on PP.

Announcers just said the Sioux fans follow the team all over. They obviously don't realize there are alot of Sioux fans that live in Colorado Springs. There are obviously some Sioux fans that went to CS to see the games, but there are alot of fans that live there as well.

Looks like the Sioux are playing their typical 2nd period. They look like they aren't taking control like they should be. Let's hope they get better, which I'm sure they will. We really need to get a couple of goals here and shut Denver down. From what I'm seeing, they look like their playing sloppy and I don't like seeing that! Let's GO SIOUX!

Sioux win! 3-0 the score. Not their best showing of the year, but they took care of business just the same. Hopefully, they will be playing better tomorrow night, and the team won't be asleep for the first 2 periods of play like they were in this one. GO SIOUX!! I Love my Sioux!

They( the announcers) are really talking about the Sioux,especially ZP. I thought they would talk about ZP, but I never thought they would talk much about Murray, and Jordan Parise. I'm surprised, because I thought they would be talking more about HC because they are from out east.

I feel the same way. The Sioux shouldn't overlook HC at all! HC is going to Colorado Springs to win. They know they are the underdogs, and are looking to upset the #1 seed Sioux, and send them home early. I agree HC doesn't have the depth, or the talent the sioux have, but they are still a dangerous team if we overlook them, and don't play to the best of our abilities. If we play like we should and take them seriously, we should have no problem beating these guys! I'm sure Dean Blais is going to have our guys pumped up, and ready to go come Friday, but I'm still a bit worried, because I also remember what happened in '98, and '99. The Sioux need to want to win the NC, which I know isn't a problem, and take every game like it could be their last along the way.

I haven't had the opportunity to see the games on the tv, but I listen to them on the internet every chance I get. Even though I haven't seen as many games, I agree with you that they are capable of playing much better than they played tonight. I really worry now, that the gophers have a ton of confidence, bordering on the line of cocky, going into the playoffs, and that is something I didn't want to see happen if the Sioux lost tonight, but it did, so there is nothing we can do about that.

They should give Adam a whistle without the little ball inside. That way he can't screw up.

As far as the 2 man advantage, the Sioux only had a 6 on 4 advantage because they pulled their goalie. Other than that, there was only a 1 man advantage all night.

If we want to talk about Adam, what about the whistle he blew when the Sioux would've had a 2 on 0? That was definately a call that didn't need to be made.

They had said that after the gophers won the tournament tonight. They interviewed Potulny and asked him what he thought of getting the #1 seed instead of the Bulldogs.

I have to say, after watching the game, I agree with Coach Blais. Not only were the defensemen absent in this game, the goalie gave up at least 2 goals that he should've had. I also agree that Zach Parise can't carry the whole team. The team needs to show up to play as well. I also saw the interviews after the game. I can't believe he called UND his home team. Give me a break! He chose to play for the gophers after all! Also, what's with UM getting the #1 seed and UMD getting the #2 seed? I know the gophers won the Final Five tournament, but, UMD finished well ahead of the gophers, not to mention they beat them all 4 times they met this year. P. S. I vote for Clay Matvick to do the play by play call instead of the woogster and moron. He at least calls the game objectively. I also don't agree with Briggs getting the MVP award! Give me a Break! :

Sorry, I meant Friday afternoon, not Thurs. afternoon, my mistake. I'm assuming UMD and WI will take care of business tomorrow, so I'm not to worried about not seeing them play Friday night. I'm sure they will, and they will beat those friggin goofers! SIOUX ALL THE WAY TO WIN THE NCAA'S! LET'S BRING #8 HOME GUYS!

I know it really sucks, and that $ talks, but wouldn't it be nice if we could change that rule? Does anyone know if any of the east teams, or teams in the CCHA, or CHA have that same rule? Or is it just because it's Minnesota?

I just heard about the Minnesota rule, where Minnesota plays Friday night regardless of who wins the Thursday night game, which means the Sioux could possibly Thursday afternoon. THAT REALLY SUCKS! If they play Thurs. afternoon, not only will I probably not have the chance to see the game, it might not even be on TV! It's happened before, where Fox sports Net doesn't televise the afternoon game, but televis the stupid goofer game that night. If the Sioux play Friday night against the goofers, then we will see it because it will be televised, otherwise, we may not see it. I myself think the Minnesota rule should be thrown out! I'm sure that's really likely to happen.... NOT! Oh well, I guess we'll just have to put up with it. Show everyone who the real champs are! GO SIOUX!!!

Way to go Sioux! Congrats to the guys on a great game! Great teams find a way to win, and the Sioux did just that! That's fantastic! In another matter, I'm glad I looked on the sioux site this morning. I didn't get a chance to look at it last night, but saw the sports here in the cities, and I couldn't believe the score showed the sioux lost. I just had to look for myself to see how they lost the way they did. I was certainly glad to see the score was the other way around! Well, enough of that. The Sioux swept MTU, and now it's on to the WCHA final five! I'm listening to the broadcast, and they are talking about Zach Parise, and the NHL. I don't think he will be leaving UND anytime soon. Not only that, it sounds as if the strike in the NHL is going to happen whether we want it to or not. I hope it doesn't, because I like watching the NHL as well. However, I will take watching the Sioux over the NHL anyday! Congrats again to the Sioux!!! :

I heard next year the WCHA Final Five will be played in the town that wins the regular season in the WCHA instead of at the Xcel energy center like this year. Is this true, or is this just a rumor? It would be nice to see the Final Five move to the arena the winning team plays. This will also distribute the money to go to other areas instead of the gophers getting the home ice advantage all the time. O.K., I know it technically is away for them, but let's face it, after all it is in Minneapolis, and not far from Marriucci. GO SIOUX!
