I didn't see the play or any replays to this point.  Officials were right there on top of it but Brad was not happy so was wondering what others saw.

Losing Jammer to a freak incident would be exactly this team's injury luck.

Never saw the Senden injury. Asked about it but nobody responded. Wonder how that Mueller kid is. Legal or not, felt bad for the freshman. ‘Welcome to college hockey’ I guess.

Was on the opposite end of the arena and didn't see the Abate play on Jammer, only Jammer laying on the ice.

Berry upset.  Cheap hit or a hockey thing?

Are you talking when Jam went down into the boards? That wasn’t even a Hockey play, and you could tell that Abate was just trying to avoid contact. That’s just Brad’s way of looking for an excuse.

I can see Blais getting those kids to come however I couldn’t see Gabbinet(sp) getting them. Not a fan of Gabbinet, so it’s hard for me to understand why a UND legacy would want to play at UNO. Ward is currently the only player from UNO that should be at UND. They can keep Jonny T.

I don’t know what you guys see in him. When you look at his record versus the NCHC teams, it’s middling at best. Same for Primeau, invisible all weekend and lost every faceoff.

I feel like these pages used to get a lot a lot more comments on game nights. Are people just getting fatigued of this half assed season or what’s the scoop?

Interesting, I was thinking the same thing and it’s not just our board. It seems like college hockey in general is having an off year in terms of interest. I said I surf Twitter and it seems like comments in general on game nights how much more reserved. Even Duluth and that saying something.

Does anyone recall a UND road series at DU about 6-7 years ago and in the Saturday game they called like, 7 penalties on UND in the second period and it turned what was a competitive tie game into a win for Denver? That’s home cookin’ at Magness Arena. They’re damn good but it also doesn’t hurt to get the benefit of the calls at home. Cornell coach Mike Schafer said he would never go back to Denver after a series some years ago because of the officiating there.

I think it was sooner that 6 or 7 years, I believe it was in 2017 or 2018. Absolute shotshow.

Please just get rid of the 3x3 OT and shootouts. They are almost irrelevant and an unnecessary gimmick. Go back to a 5x5 OT and if still tied just leave it as a tie.
If we score in OT everyone thinks it’s a win and if the other team scores they think we lost. The only thing that really matters is the pairwise and for that it is basically a tie (.55 win vs .45 loss in OT, .5 win for both teams in a shootout).

10 minutes, 5x5. Do the ice. Either that or call it a tie at 60 minutes so the fans don’t have to miss the news at 10.

I actually thought Omaha was going to be a better team this year. They have 9 Sr/Gr players. Some like Ward seem to have been there forever. They play decent but I thought they would have a better record this year.

They seem to struggle with Miami and CC. Honestly, they split WMU, SCSU, UMD and us. That isn’t awful. But their struggles again “meh” competition hurts them. They also need better NC. One problem they have is the Olympic Curling trials, really taxes their home/away schedule.

Both games "so even," but Omaha could have run us out of the building?  Sounds like you are saying the games have not been even but UND has been fortunate.

Well, given that omaha can’t get any to fall, I guess you’re right. Not that we are playing bad, just fortunate I guess. So you captured my thoughts…

Hahaha that's funny. I think we showed it on Friday, if UND plays their game the way they want to, we can beat anyone we play. Same goes for the opposite. I haven't seen enough of Omaha to say the same about them, I guess.

Like I said she graduated from UNO. Makes for two really interesting weekends a year. I watched a bunch of her games, when they show up they’re pretty impressive when they don’t they’re pretty depressive. Game one against UMD all she did was stare at the TV, game two was hysterical, game 7 of the Stanley Cup.

  10. Really depends on which Omaha team shows up. If the good one does, then I’ll never hear the end of it from my wife. If “the bad one“ does she’ll act like “it’s just a game“ and move on. My worry is that they show up and we don’t. That would be really bad.

If you’re an Omaha fan, at what point do you start to question coach Gabinet? I know this is only year 4 but I don’t get the sense the program is growing and moving in any sort of direction. They’re kinda staying the same.

I’d say he gets a fifth year, he has a bunch of recruits in the pipeline but much more of this they’ll scatter. They can’t seem to put in the effort, that’s either Gen Z or coaching. Losing games to those you should beat is inexcusable. I will say, CC can be a tough out at times.

I don't know about that, Omaha beat UMD this weekend.

Omaha is a very up and down team, when they’re on their very impressive, When they’re not it’s just like old times. I watched a lot of their games, my wife is from Omaha (went to UNO) and that’s her team. You’re right the game against UMD and Saturday night was very much one-sided. But Friday night, it was a !@#$ show. If you look at the comments from Taylor Ward they were very insightful. It’s just one game he said, the question is what are they do with it. The problem is they become very much the one trick pony, until they develop multiple strategies it’s easy to counter their style of play.
