There's no such thing as a moderate Democrat anymore @AOC is the official leader of the Democratic party.

The democratic party is certainly shifting left.  However if the current party reflected AOC’s worldview in its entirety, Bernie Sanders would have won the nomination; quite handedly.  He didn't.  Old school traditional workhorse Biden did.

Nice strawman, never said it represented all 60 million voters.    I was mocking the cult followers.  And rightfully so.  Looks the they want to revert back to Jim Crow.  Yeehaw Johnny Reb!

You know for a lawyer, you make a lot of immature, weak and petty arguments. Hope you don't charge your clients for these sort of arguments.

Lawyers are no different than anybody else who finds humor in people’s ignorance.

That the NCGOP is sending out flyers (like the one posted) to people is a testament to how stupid they think their constituency is.    What's next, a flyer about the cannibal pedophiles invading government?    Jesus H Christ, all you can do is laugh at these people.

    .

  4. That’s right, I forgot.  The ‘media’ is some uniform and all-encompassing entity controlled by the deep state with a political agenda.  Poor, poor Trump.  I think I heard Trump say Slender Man is in on it too.  You people ought to look in on that.  Dangerous stuff!!

Meanwhile, in the real world,  Stay classy cultists......

pretty rich statement coming from a lib

We've officially entered bizarro-world when moderate conservatives and liberals are chastised and deemed 'never Trumpers' and/or 'no longer part of the party'; on both sides of the isle.  .

People like you are part of the problem, not the solution.  Congrats.

You seem to think I'm some card carrying "defend the Dems at all cost" chump. Not everyone needs the comfort of groupthink to reach self-actualization. There's no better way to pigeonhole yourself than blind adherence to a political party, religion, etc.  Heck, I'm often forced to distance myself from fellow Sioux fans in hockey circles.

Biden is just pandering to the stupid rust belt religious folk who make or break his campaign (thanks to the electoral college), much like his opponent has done. Does this attempted association mean he is one of the pedophiles QAnon is rallying against? Ill hang up and listen...

Barrett's Kingdom of God soundbit sure sounds like she drinks the koolaid of the anthrocentric belief that spirituality boils down to a deity that decided to model humans and humans alone in his own image. Even as a kid that seemed unlikely and simple-minded to me. But hey, she's a female!

The original rogue politician, Jesse Ventura, said it best: organized religion is a crutch for the weak minded.

    This 100%

The most exasperating aspect of politics nowadays (as reflected on this board) is blind adherence.  Any criticism towards a party is interpret as an attack from the opposing party.

We've become a party over country entity.

And those fine “peaceful protestors” reflect the values of the typical democratic voter??  We can assume you share those values.

Absolutely not.   Anybody espousing violence is not a protester.  They are thugs.  The far-right, for obvious political reasons, always attempts to conflate the two.

Coincidently, from what I've read, around 93% of all protests up to this point have been peaceful.

You openly chastised Mitch McConnell for something that Harry Reid did, but I am a conspiracy guy?

    Seek some professional help.

No fake news, no conspiracy.  Simple mistake on my part.

Now if you'd only hold Trump as accountable for mistakes as you do some random guy on the internet.  But of course Cult followers don't do that.

You should wear this to your next broomball game.

He got 60+ million votes last election.  Are the vast majority of them "stupid white trash"?

I'd hope most Conservatives were fully aware Trump was a sleazy and immoral POS, disapproved of his antics and rhetoric, but voted for him based on his politics; especially considering Hillary was the alternative.

I dunno.  Maybe you can tell me if those fine citizens at Trump rallies cheering his extracurricular juvenile BS are reflective of the typical conservative voter.

If they are, Jesus Christ the Right-wing is more backwards than I thought.

An EO can not override the Constitution, and election of the President is Constitutionally mandated and proscribed.

    This further proves my point.

Either Trump is stupid, or he's trolling.    And if he's trolling, why would you troll about something like that?  Just to "own the libs"?   And let me guess, all the rally goers cheered when he said it.   Stupid white trash. lol      Unfortunately, this is what Trump has transformed US politics into; a 'nothing matters' reality TV show where trolling your opponent at every turn is deemed acceptable.

Sure he is;  hence his cult following.

Even if one agrees with his political positions, it's easy to see through Trump's shtick if one’s not a complete idiot.  Unfortunately we have the mental midgets who can’t.  Cult followers.  This is the LCD of society who believe, regurgitate and promote Trump's reality TV BS.

Let's just call it what it is - they are using Biden to get the first female President in office.

You do realize Trump has recently been out in left field and slurring his words

The upcoming debates are gonna be a national embarrassment.   2 senile old guys going at it.

    Yup.

You believe in conspiracy theories and love things Russian.

You are a good little cultist.

A telling sign of a cult of personality is when followers use the exact language their leaders do, at every turn.  Trump is a friggin’ craftsman at using easy and digestible phrases as a means to justify action or quell argument.  His minions regurgitate these at every turn.     ‘Fake news’, ‘hoax’, ‘haters and losers’ ‘the media’, ‘deep state’ ‘antifa’ etc. This has never been done before to this extent in US politics.

This is the Senate's job. They only have 2 jobs. One, pass legislation, and two, confirm judges.

There is literally zero reasons these people should not confirm the judge. Libs made it very clear in 2016 how they felt on the topic EVEN WHEN THEY DIDNT CONTROL THE SENATE. Anyone who tries implying the GOP is not fully entitled and genuinely in a defensible position here is not a serious person and I am think you might fall under that camp lol.

Always breaks my heart to realize we have stupid people with ties to my home state.

The larger issue centers around McConnell’s use of power politics at every turn, every opportunity.

McConnell had no rule or precedent in blocking Obama’s choice, but he had the majority so he soldiered on.  Then he changed confirmation rules (51 votes instead of 60) once Trump was President.  Now he’s thoroughly contradicting himself even though he gave himself the legal capacity to justify it; again through an exercise in majority power.

Unfortunately, this will embolden the Democrats to act in the same manner if/when they grab the majority.   Issues once deemed untouchable via mutual respect will no longer be considered as such.  Look for them to expand the supreme court, push to give DC statehood, etc.

The US has officially become a party over country entity.   Putin is likely laughing his *** off right now.

"The Wall" is a foreign relations matter (the wall would go up between Arizona and sovereign Mexico, not Arizona and California).

Foreign relations is Constitutionally (Article II) the Federal domain.

Point is, Trump is superseding state and individual rights by defining the wall in terms of national security.  You think the NM gov wants a wall on state land?  Get real.   Any federal mask mandate would be done in a similar manner (national health emergency).

    Same stick, different end.

But because there's no past precedence for something ('nothing on the books') doesn't mean something is legal either.

What you're saying is we'd be in uncharted waters with no precedence.

Correct.  Due to a lack of precedence it's wrong to call a potential federal mask mandate legal or illegal.   I've said this from the beginning.
