What is with your scramble approach? REA manages the majority of ticket revenue (52%) and always sends the majority of that to the hockey program, either directly or indirectly. Don't act so clueless.

52% of ALL ticket revenue - *majority*

Does hockey receive more support than all of UND's other programs? Yes

Do most DI athletic programs around the country allow a building management group and/or the major donor to manage the majority of their (the university's) ticket revenue? Absolutely not.

UND hockey average attendance is approximately 11,500 per game at the REA. UND football average attendance is approximately 10,000 per game at the Alerus. So, does UND football receive 87% of the financial support that UND hockey receives?

    Hockey-23/24 games,  season tickets,  $460

    Football-5 games,  season tickets, $95

    Do the math

BB does not come close to filling the smaller Betty, but it will fill the REA?

UND could open and staff their own ticket office, and keep 100%

Trying to think of things that "shifted" in the past year. Conference, coaching staff (all new assistants), and Adidas could all be factors. Or he just wants to go where the grass is greener....

Q's leadership is gone which probably kept Gino in tow for a couple years

  3. He kind of threw the staff under the bus in his wdaz comments tonight.

Staff going in a different direction than he wanted, resulting in a wedge between him and the staff, so felt it was best to leave

Is this a thing? How does it work...in a clinching scenario do they watch the game from down below -- gear at the ready, or venture downstairs midway thru the 3rd?

I get that it's the Cup, but it seems kind of lame, or at the least misleading. Can't they be photographed in a suit?

Seemed odd to me.  Wonder if it's been done that way every year

    They improved the bread.

That Biz pic looks like the awful original new bun.  Apparently baker boy is having consistency problems like hugos did b4 their unfortunate demise.

You're not a good judge goon.  Too young and have never found food you didn't like;)

Hard to believe they’d make such a drastic change to save a buck or 2. How many years had they used the Hugo’s bread?

Whatever the costs savings were on the bread, the fallout will be greater IMO for the overall business.

Just a poor, silly, and dumb decision. Support a local business.

Not sure this was true. Different set of workers there said Hugo's was not keeping up with orders, and were often sending different sized buns in the order.

The last time there much of the corn meal had been scraped from the bottom of the buns, and they were better. Guess Baker Boy's very hot ovens need cornmeal on the bottom to keep them from burning.

Ate at the University Avenue one on Saturday. Buns were terrible still.

Heard they were getting them from a Canadian Company.

they are from Baker Boy in Dickinson. The newest batch is improved over the first Baker Boy buns, but they need to get rid of the corn meal on the bottom. Supposedly Baker Boy has the original Hugo's recipe but obviously hasn't perfected it yet

Fair questions. This is a message board where people have opinions.

I think the logo has been pushed by UND and they are getting pushback from independent retailers. Also the UND alum who own businesses and business owners who want to co-brand with the Flagship University want the apparel, promo items, etc. that they give to customers to be worn and not shoved in a drawer or laying on the bottom of someone's closet. I am not sure how many hats Hugo's gave away at a hockey game last year but 100's were left to swept up with the empty beer cups and candy wrappers.

I am sure UND would like to get paid royalties on items that aren't going right to the clearance rack.

Same as free headbands in the betty

I believe CC membership for football season tickets depends on the section you're trying to get tickets in.  Certain upper level sections and one lower section on the visitors side don't appear to require CC membership.

Correct,  the better seats require cc membership at different levels,  not all seats.  And i missed the different ticket prices,  depending on the section

I keep hearing 52% of ticket sales for Football...Can someone put an actual $ amount to this?  Remember, the majority of the tickets that last 4 years of the FB program were not even at face value, so just simply multiplying the ticket price by the number of seats in the Alerus is not a true number.  I would like to know how much ticket sale revenue was generated the last year for instance - real dollars.  Also, I'm not a FB season ticket holder, but do you need to be a champions club member to buy tickets like they do in Hockey?  Remember, asking for a friend...

Yes on the cc member,  costs more than the tickets.

Tickets 90 per seat last year,  95 this year

The primary concern seems to be with the memorial stadium locker rooms. Apparently those are used the most by the team.

Thought that might be it, I think they also dress there before riding a bus to the Al for a game. The bottom of Memorial is just as it was in the 70s. Awful damp, crappy, concrete dungeon.

So no locker rooms were put in HPC phase 1 or are we redoing something that was just built?

Locker rooms part of phase 2. Currently players use the concrete dressing rooms under Memorialwhen using the HPC. Although I'm not clear if the discussion here on updating locker rooms has been phase 2 or upgrading in the Alerus?
