ndsu will never have d-1 hockey mostly because fo title 9 and the fact that womens hockey which would have to come with loses money every year. by the way i am a huge bison fan

OK UND-1: why would UND want to stay in d2 and be tied down dont you think that that would make them rethink the direction they are going, because if what i have been told from some of my UND buds is that they are looking at the move closer then they have before. Mr. ratrink the reaseonn i askis my friends down here dont give me a straight answer they always just bash the bison. thats why i have asked it.

I am a huge bison fan and i am saying that right off the bat just to let you know where i stand. I was just curious what you guys all think of the possiblities of UND going d1. i would love to see it happen. In my opinion if the d-2 commitee drops the number of scholarships [which i think they will] UND will be forced to leave in a way because they dont want to be part of a watered down d-2. it would not be the same ad it was.

i know some of there teams are a lower division but ndsu is not bringing up the scholarship issue hell i believe ndsu has valley city state on there schedule you dont see them worried about lack of scholarships.because its good for valley city state cany UND see its better to have them o then not to regarless of scholarships?because to me its all about the money.i was told by a good source UND was offered very good money to play for two more years down at the dome granted it was two away games but two more years of the game i believe would not of hurt UND it would have hurt ndsu more then anything because UND has had there number lately.i believe if you loko at some of the other playoff teams in d2 some had d-1 teams on there schedule and still had home playoff games but the difference is ndsu and una had 2 games.

I heard on a radio show a while back from the championship commitee chairman that playing one d-1aa team would not hurt the sioux,the problem comes into play when you play 2 out of divison teams he was refering directly to the UND ndsu situation. I looked at the sioux b-ball schedule and when it comes to scholarships it does not seem to mind them when they play mary and minot state,southwest minnesota state so i guess when they can beat up on schools its ok but when they might be beaten it becomes a huge problem.

i dont believe either of them has had an offical sell out except ndsu selling out with UND has UND EVER sold out either waywith or with out ndsu. also ndsu averages 2-3000 more fans on average now how needs who more? ps i know ndsu need UND but look at it from only a money stand point who pulls down more money!!!!!

oh, by the way if you dont move to d-1 you will lose one of the best coaches in football because he is to good to sit and watch UND stay and other schools move up.

i am a huge bison fan but i believe that UND saying they dont need ndsu is just stupid. they do but dont want to admit it. also ndsu needs UND. its a two way street and actually i blame the ncaa for making d-2 more and more like d-3 or naia. the UND sioux will be d-1 i a few years and no one can deny it. they are not going to stand by and watch d-2 turn more and more into a low talent pool league.the reason that UND is taking a lot of if not all of the blame in my eyes is that ndsu put the ball right in roger thomas's hands and instead of running with it he just stood there. he took way to long to make a decision if he would have just said we are done it would not have been a huge issue but 2 basketball games and speculation all over the board made it worse.

NOW I HAVE A QUESTION HOW MANY FANS DID UND AVERAGE FOR FOOTBALL LAST YEAR. DONT YOU ALL THINK THAT KEEPIN NDSU ON THE SCHEDULE IS A GOOD IDEA JUST FOR THE MONEY THEY HAD TO HAVE BROUGHT DAM NEAR DOUBLE THE NORMAL CROWD. THE TICKETS WERE MORE THEN 2 TIMES AS MUCH, THEY DREW MORE THEN THE POST SEASON GAMES I THINK THEY WOULD NEED AS MUCH AS 4-5 MORE HOME GAMES TO MAKE THE SAME AMOUNT RIGHT I MAY BE WRONG. SOME ONE TELL ME WHY WE NDSU ARE NOT PLAYIN YOU. HELL JUST FOR THE MONEY IF NOT OTHER REASON I HEAR THOMAS SAY THEY CAN MAKE THE MONEY WITH OUT NDSU ON THE SCHEDULE PLEASE TELL ME HOW.
