Percentage wise they had more shots getting to the net yes, but that stat goes straight out the window when UND successfully got 31 more shots to the net than BU did. When you attempt 80 more shots than the other team of course you're going to have more blocked shots. I understand what Starman and you are trying to say...but when the shots are that lopsided it does'nt really matter what the percentages are IMO. Yes UND had way too many shots blocked. But even with that, they still had many more great scoring chances and posts than BU did overall. When BU gets 1 good scoring chance only off 3 shots vs UND getting 4 good scoring chances off 20 shots, then who cares about the percentages. The sheer totals is what matters. But in the end, the ones that go in the net are the ones that count.

Agreed. I'm not even sure who else I want to win or lose other than them losing of course.

2014 was to MINN but 2015 was to BU

Between the miserable Michigan loss in 2011, the heart breaker against Minn in 2014, and the BU loss 2 years ago...can you imagine if UND wouldn't have won it all last year? Is this how Denver fans felt last year when they lost? I think Denver was the better team in that game but UND found a way to win...afterwards I felt like UND stole that one. It seems like that's the way BU should be feeling if not worse, but for some reason they all seem to think they were the better team and deserved to win??? Dave Starman said "I think BU was much better at getting pucks to the net" yet they were outshot by over THIRTY David Starman also said " I think BU was the better team and deserved to win. UND had 6 powerplays and didn't score once" BU gamewinning goal scorer "you can look at the shots or whatever, but we obviously came out on top" I understand the PP comment a little bit, but saying BU was the better team and deserved to win?? Did he not see the shots or watch any of the game? It was extremely lopsided in my eyes.

Thank god. I'm sure there will still be quite a few students but this should be much better than during a regular season game I'm assuming

I purchased tickets in the upper deck student section for Saturday's game. Will students still be occupying that section mostly or is it different for the post season?

Looking to buy either 4 or 6 tickets for Saturday's game against St. Cloud. 3/11 Either Lower bowl or Upper bowl would be great.

It's a multi use facility. Better because of multi courts and better set up than Fargo dome IMO. Much better than single court venues with how many games happen. Also better than Minot and bismarcks best venues IMO. What's better?

I'm assuming you're talking about the 09-10 central team that went 24-3 and won state? It doesn't nearly compare in the lost points production, but they did lose quite a few of their main guys and D core. They lost 8 SRs including their stud goalie. That SR class only had about 168 points, but they also lost an additional 97 points between Purpur and LaDue who left early. Looks like Simonson and Johnson went on to have good individual seasons the next year but their team dropped to 13-11...ouch.

Thank you very much for sharing your side of the story. I'm very sorry to hear your son and your family had to deal with all of that horrible disrespect. My view of the situation has completely shifted. Glad to hear there was a purpose behind that game, and frankly I'm glad it happened after hearing this. Hopefully some good still comes from this thread, as now the truth behind the entire story has been shared and will be spread further. I know I will be sharing the rest of the story about this game with people I spoke with offline about it.
