I agree and probably would be much better if the replica had a number on it. That's not how it works but I think that's the issue for me that makes these just average. The replica jerseys have a empty feel with that gap where the number goes. and yes lets hope they only go with these for a few years

@SchlossmanGF: Among the NCHC's postseason awards, it will give out defensive forward of the year and offensive defenseman of the year. @SchlossmanGF: Also of note, only coaches and captains voting on postseason awards. Better hope they aren't as petty as those in WCHA women's league.

Isnt easy walking around the cities in Arizona State gear. A devils shirt and a sioux hat can turn some heads! Ha It's no suprise that the current UND jerseys aren't the best anymore and that wasnt even a debate with the old logo! I'm guessing the next style will be back on par design wise whenever that may be. Still better than anything maroon and gold:)

Hell Tate probably faced shots from numerous nhl/pros in his 4 years in practice to keep him on his toes! More than anyone at smaller programs who played in games...Great to see him get a chance at the least. Says a lot about him!

OD and Mitch will need to step their games up or they could be sitting up in the stands on a weekend basis, I know not a shocker but just saying after last season. This will be Zane's team. Johnson, Murphy and Tambellini will be counted on right out of the gates with losing KnK's production. Rocco will put everyone on their feet a couple times per weekend. This could turn into his team and hope he wants to stick around with next years class! Not jumping ahead but throw Rocco in with those forwards?! Excuse me Rocco but my god that would be fun! Chyzk could take a spot with a good start Top 6 D will be interesting. Probably not likely but some nights they could have 4 frosh on the blue line. Simpson has grown into his own and will have a big year! Simpson Ladue Mattson Schmaltz Ausmus Thompson Stecher rotating in here and there. Then Panz depending on match ups and style.

I hear ya and no that wasnt even close to my point. I think they must think these games could go on forever and ever if they tried 20's aftter regulation. It's not perfect but it was bound to happen at least for a trial year like it or not. College hockey is also producing tons of NHL/pro players. Having similar rules seem to be the way it's going with the NCHC and big10 jumping aboard.

Little correction above 0 points for a OT loss and 1 point for shoot out loss. So basically rewarding both for a 65 minute tie with at least a point each.

The NHL uses them, minors as well as college already so I believe it was just a matter of time. I would rather see a 10 then shoot out or just a full 20, but it will be exciting for the league games. Shoot outs will NEVER EVER be used in any post season format. Don't worry about that. I don't mind it at all and will make for some fun moments at the Ralph. The BIG10 is also using this same format and it doesn't seem the WCHA will use it.

Plus tickets will pop up here on ss weekly for all home games. There isn't a marquee series besides Miami this season. Doesn't mean all games won't be sold out but getting tickets 2nd hand nightly for a good price won't be a problem at all.
