i bet it happens. i was scared of toews as well.....just a thing that was in the back of my head, thats all...and everyone doesnt need to post after this that he has to much class and loyalty to stay with UND through the season because i know that already, just a simple thought that popped up with me. jack johnson has been a strange case. he had the chance to go to carolina correct?? the defending cup champs last year after the sioux eliinated michigan and i believe a sot in the nhl, then he gets traded after they get tired of him swaying back and forth.....hmmmmm

the mistake was not ending it in ot n the 4 on 3, both johnsons must have had 8 shots combined i beleieve. ONE TIME IT. the refs are idiots for these mistakes though. a reverse in order could have been a difference, you never know. or toews would have just ended it that much earlier vs the long island frazee hope toews gets a penalty shot vs the gophs at the ucci vs LIF, just for sh!ts and giggles, would make for some good drama i would lke to have seen okposo shoot at least once as well

wow, from brands blog. good thing the dumb azz refs new the rules pathetic, just principle http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/ IIHF admits mistakes in shootout Now, we've got a bit of controvery to add to yesterday's classic U.S.-Canada semifinal World Junior game. The IIHF said referee Ulf Ronnmark should have used video review on Patrick Kane's attempt in the fourth round. Canadian goalie Carey Price stopped the shot but slowly slid back into his net. Ronnmark said he didn't think he needed to use video replay, but the IIHF disagreed. The chief referee and tournament chairman reviewed the play after the game and concluded that the puck did not cross the goal line. If it had gone in, the tournament directorate (which is made up of one member for each participating country) would have decided what to do about it. One option would have been doing the shootout over again, TSN reported. Another thing the referee messed up was the order of the shootout. After the first three rounds, the order should have reversed and the Americans should have shot first. Of course, nobody knows if this would have made any difference in the outcome. But what's a classic game without controversy?

good luck and sorry to break it to you but there wont be a chance in you know what you get tickets for face value. it takes some bucks to see these games if you are not lucky to land them through the university or the gophs site. its my favorite though to see.....sioux vs gophs at the ucci...

those were worn in the 1990's when we didnt wear any sioux logo. i have that style in green and white. very differnet jersey and nice look. but would never want to wear those again as that would mean we couldnt wear our current logo. by the way........F the NC$$

i say toews wears both gold medals around his neck for sure. make the other step up. go toews, not canada. toews 3 russia 2.
-
very nice add matt jones and we will have 4 sioux on the ice in 1 game..... and zajac, parise, hale and j blake on the ice as well together 8 sioux in 2 games

same here, hope they win and downie gets his azz kicked at the same time. toews will bury 2 for the canucks

jones has been fine. its only his 2nd year and another favorite of gretzky. when you have high priced d men like the coyote do the numbers sometimes just dont work in your favor. jones has played very well when in and i fully expect the coyotes to roll with 4 young d men starting next year with roche, jones, michalek and ballard plus 2 vetarens in jovonoski and morris. patience is key

germany sucks. the usa did get many shots but there is no way in hell they should have lost to them. it made them a 3 seed rather a 2 and that may have been the reason they are playing for a bronze instead of gold. they were toe to toe with canada today and had their chances to win this but couldnt do it. canada hasnt lost in this tourney it seems forever. sucks as a usa fan for sure. who knows, not playing long island frazee the 1st 2 games could have been a huge mistake as well. i guess we will never know. hope they can get the bronze, seems like they have not given a flying fk about bronze the last couple years so im not counting on it.

lets enjoy these 2 while they are here. toews is gone after this season in my eyes and oshie i would say 50/50. just my opinions. i have a very good feeling that toews is gonna repeat last years 2nd half and oshie will follow. they both have been banged up and have been battling. these 2 are special players and love watching them on the weekends. and especially i love watching them on the ice at the same time.

TOEWS already getting ink http://tsn.ca/ http://tsn.ca/world_jrs/news_story/?ID=190697&hubname= Jonathan Toews of the University of North Dakota scored three times in the shootout, including the winning goal. Canadian goaltender Carey Price stopped U.S. forward Peter Mueller after Toews's final goal to end the shootout 5-4 in favour of the defending champions. Bryan Little of the Barrie Colts and Michigan's Andrew Cogliano also scored in extra shots.
