  8. i think it would sell out and many many sioux fans would help with that along with gopher fans then you add the local teams fans. no doubt a final 5 there every other year would sell out. regionals are different especially with that large of a arena
  9. i have no clue, i hope we are in the running for olsen. he sounds like a hell of a top caliber player...maybe macwilliam can let him know he should play for the sioux
  10. i would say there are only a few arenas that big that would sell out for any regional and that being said the home team would have to be in that title game. like you said, if the home team isnt in the title they wont sell out at all. the X is fine for a regional. i think the question is that they got 2 in a row in minny both hosted by minny. it would be different if scsu or whoever hosted at the X as then the gophers wouldnt get placed in that regional if they make the ncaa tourney.
  11. i wouldnt mind that. every other year in denver and minny but the majority of teams besides du, cc and uaa are in that minny area and that means many fans of those actual teams will be there. bottom line is selling out and both cities would do that but i dont see that happening anytime soon
  12. the X is the perfect place for the final 5 tourney every year. i love it there, best overall hockey atmosphere and tourney including the frozen 4 obviosuly the sioux logo issue is the reason we wont get a regional, also i think they are trying to get away from home arenas hosting. i may be wrong on that but i thought i read that somewhere regarding the future of regionals. oh well that minnesota got 2 regionals, what can you do besides get in that regional and beat them there no matter what team you cheer for. buckysieve is correct that you have to have the high seed to have last line change and that type of stuff but i think most fans point isnt having the last line change or a smaller sheet of ice. at least regioanls in minnesota nd north dakota will sell out and create a hell of a atmosphere unlike the east coast regionals, those are a friken joke when you watch them on tv. even CC sucks hosting regionals in their barn. denver wasnt bad in the big arena when porter went wrap on EJ and the long island ice goalie

  14. brad confirmed the Derek Forbort verbal http://www.areavoices.com/undhockey/
  15. at least he won a title you should add 23 year drought or whatever it is between national titles in your signature as well, just an observation
  16. when does the roster usually get put up on the sioux site? i know brad had the names and numbers they will be wearing on his site but just wondering. i assume soon. will they be sharing the same tie for all the pics
  17. 4 frozen fours in first four years is a hell of a acomplishment, no doubt...........but with 0 national titles. i would take 1 frozen 4 trip with 1 title in the last 4 years instead of 0 for 4 but thats besides the point. i think hak is a hell of a coach and his body of work speaks for itself. there are only a few programs who base a overall seasons success on national titles and the sioux are one in that handful. hak is a great coach and im sure he more than anyone on this board or anywhere is more dissapointed for not getting 1 title in the 4 trips. trust me. he played for the sioux and realizes why they play every season. i believe woog did the same thing so thats a fair comparison to this point but like you said, hold off on the career body of work comparison to wooger. i think the thing that stings the most is BC and getting busted out of the 1st round of the last 3 frozen 4's by those guys. it highlights it even more. oh well, time to get that title. hak might as well just get it this season
  18. i remember that site form last year but i doubt the full tv schedule for all games are out yet, ill try to find it. just search for it online this may have been it http://www.collegehockeylive.com/men/d1/men-d1.aspx
  19. hockey is underway in the AJHL andrew macwlliam with 2 PIM in 2-1 loss in AJHL season opener
  20. why not point it out here 7 year drought...........top programs only can look at that as a drought, no doubt about it. probably just a handful of teams can say that being realistic. 23 years for the gophs between titles must been painful as a gopher fan. i cant imagine. woog=charm back on topic i am very excited to see what these freshman bring to the table. gregoire and toews are my picks to have solid first seasons all around and wcha freshman of the year candidates. will be interesting to see if finehage gets a good deal of playing time with 6 others including ben blood as a frosh as well. the sioux have a good amount of players it seems at forward. another month and it will be game time
