The good news about having such a tough first round draw; if you get a win, you've got to be feeling pretty good about yourselves and building some confidence going into the next game.

The feeling good comes with the road W.
More roads wins will still be tough.
    Go Hawks!

Again, just going on this year, they lost to a power 5 FBS school and to the #1 FCS seed by 2 points. What else could they have done to improve their seed.
    ............

Bison played very good on Saturday.
    That was expected.
There was a punchers chance UND could make it interesting for the fans,
the Bison set the tempo in first 3 plays and continued with dominance.

UND sh$ting the bed helped the Bison move up a slot.
If UND could of kept it within like say 7, the jump may have not happened hampering the to move up effort.

We were so flat starting this game,  with only a some improvement after a couple of possessions - with a few sprinkles of a great play.
Flat = stage freight, punch in the gut, crowd, big game syndrome, butterflies, or any combination and more.

    Why would he leave? $$$$$$$$

I have heard that Minnesota is the one job he covets.     He obviously recruits the state of Minnesota pretty hard.  Bigger question is would the Gophers hire a male head coach for WBB?

    Would agree.

But, somebody in MN athletic department might recognize the upside to this coach vs available female coaches and persuade enough evolved to move forward.

  4. Over a week later, investigators continue to be baffled by the case, no arrests made nor suspects identified -  frustrations for families and community.

Police admitted they have no idea if the killer is still in Moscow or has fled the area.
There is an overwhelming “mess” of evidence left behind in this case.

The Moscow Police Department said four detectives, five support staff and 24 patrol officers are working on the case. Alongside the police, the Federal Bureau of Investigation has 22 investigators helping in Moscow, and 20 more agents assisting from outside the area. Idaho State Police has supplied 20 investigators, 15 troopers for patrols, and its mobile crime scene team.

    WOW!

I never dreamed I would get responses like that.  I'm a native ND but have spent my entire life in MT.  I follow both the Sioux/Bison and a fan of both.

I hope and wish you beat Weber and then the Cats and continue on.  So, good luck and don't let a Big Scare team beat you.

WOW! is right, Sorry for throwing those Wildcat words at you.
Thanks for posting. Now, unless you are an 85 year old freshman, I had you pegged as someone much different.
Left ND many years ago and haven't given up on her. WOW, again.
So you are in the know(Big Sky & all), apparently follow two ND football teams and enjoy it.  Welcome aboard.
Be kind of nice to know where in ND you lived?
I'll take one more shot, you went to some country school?

I just want to say you had a well-played game last weekend, and also had a great year.  I wish you the best in the tourney and I know UND will represent North Dakota to the highest level.  I wish you the best and thanks again for the great year once again.

    Go Sioux!!!

OK, I'll bite.  We're into the second 5 hours since your thread creation, you had no response to first reply.

First of all, are you serious George?  Sioux comment kind of shows you are not a freshman Wildcat. Your grammar sure is that of a Wildcat, and you are in need of glasses.
Then, have a question and assuming you are in the know (Weber & all), why would you be shopping here while thanking us for our great year once again?
2019, the last time we were in Ogden, we lost by 3. Can you go back that far,  highest level?

To be honest, after Saturday's game.......pretty much all of the wind went out of my sails regarding my thoughts of making a playoff run....and I just kinda felt like the season was over.....even though I felt we would make the playoffs.  Then finding out we are going on the road to Weber just added to that feeling initially.  However, I definitely think we have a punchers chance in this game.  1. We have played pretty Well at Weber in the past couple years  2. Weber's result against NAU was pretty similar to ours.  3.  I think Danny's offense can/may work better against teams that haven't played against it year after year.  4. It's an outdoor stadium so noise won't be quite as much of a factor as it could be in a dome on the road. 5. Finding out that we just got screwed by the committee might give us an extra mean streak on Saturday.  5. After the SIU game where we did not play well we came back the following week and were hitting on all cylinders....even though the team we were playing had players that were supposed to be bigger/stronger/faster - Missouri State (granted that was at home though).

We need to win the Special Teams by getting some big kick/punt returns and also not allowing them to get good returns, and we need to win the turnover battle.  If we can do that I think it will be a toss up game in the 4th quarter.

That means we have to force a punt though ???

I actually think we have a hell of a punchers chance.
Playing in Weber is going to be better for us verses something like Montana or the likes.
Hopefully it'll be worth it for our team to jump off of the bus.

  8. Could this transfer portal be putting a dent into red shirting process?
Why worry about red shirting someone with the possibility of the player abandoning the team, if in any need during a game - play them?
Of course if a player needs much development/training, hold them back.

No one ln either the east coast or BSC are going to do any favors for the MVFC.

FAVORS, of course not, that's smells of the old Scotch Whiskey / Cigars.
You comment sure makes it sound like possible favors to some could be given, but not MVFC.
There is absolutely a window left open for the committee to use subjective criteria in the decision making process.
Also, the inconsistency of these decisions by selection committee?
Some serious questions on here to no smoke in the room.

Disagree.  Committe members aren't watching tape of national anthems of games.  Come on.  And, how many people say "Sioux" at the end of the anthem at football games?  The 20 students in their hockey jerseys?!

They don't need a tape. By the way I sit towards the bottom near 50 yd line, visitors side, lot more than 20 and mostly not students. Hockey they are all over.
These AD's know what's happened and going on.
I'm not saying this is the only reason, usually in situations like this (this was not just a one time slap and over with) there are a few factors involved.
We have 3 instances in FB already.
    2015
    2019
    2022

  11. At all games, our crowd needs to stop yelling SIOUX over the announcer when saying Hawks on the microphone and disrespecting our national anthem at the end by drowning out BRAVE.

This gives us absolutely 0 brownie points, actually hurts us in meetings like yesterday.

And each time the criteria changes it seems to be UND that is damaged by it.

    Once is curious.
    Twice is coincidence.
    Thrice? It's a pattern, not a coincidence.

1st    in 2015, 6-5 W Illinois gets in ahead of us as we're at 7-4.
2nd  in 2019, at Nicholls St with the outdoor/fenced in - the locker rooms for opposing team only.
3rd   in 2022, at Weber, committee using performance.

Apparently things truly were rigged against us.  Sucks to not have a voice in the room.

Anyone actually think Matt Larsen stepped up for us, once we were in the tournament?
    We got screwed again.
Ya, they took the Scotch Whiskey and Cigars out of the meeting but left the ambiguous decision making in.
