Jamestown goes back to back in class A football defeating Fargo North today 46-21. They were so fun to watch this season. Going to miss Hochalter behind center and as a D back. Absolute stud. He was class A player of the year too

New football stadium must of came to good use?
    Good crowds?

  2. As much as I'd like 2 C a final score W like last weekend, I'm think n it'll B close. History repeats.

This is going to be one hell of a game, again. Highs & Lows.
The Coyotes play great in the Hawk's Nest until they get ahead by 20.
Then, they get caught in a trap - UND puts on a show for the home crowd!

    UND 41, USD 34

Do you think the "geniuses" who run the Tavern will

    a. be open pregame and

    b. have at least a few employees to serve drinks?

    Absolutely,
Champ Club sent an invitation to come to Playmaker's inside Canad Inn.
    Think that'll be packed?

  4. Big game Saturday.
College Football Playoff No. 1 ranked Tennessee Volunteers and AP Poll No. 1 ranked Georgia Bulldogs.

Before the season began, tickets for this game sat at $197 for the cheapest ticket, ...

Now ... , the cheapest ticket available for the game is now $626.

That price tag means that the Tennessee-Georgia game is the most expensive get-in price for any regular-season college football game on record.

Is it fair to say that UND losing to ASU may be a big point in their favor towards membership into the NCHC? Gotta think three straight wins over NCHC teams (even wins over lowly CC) would count for something for ASU.

(Trying to make lemonade from lemons here …)

this game was a fabulous sales pitch from the NCHC to Arizona State U hockey.   As far as hockey support goes, “the big time” means NCHC.  As far as championships go, that also means NCHC.

quick math … adding ASU to NCHC would almost double total enrollment of the conference.

Our team just did a favor to a newer program, which is likely to end up in the NCHC. Did you see their celebration!!!    | can't be put in words |
Berry can be a very nice gentlemen, ask the players.
It took some excellent coaching by all the staff to pull this feat off.
The main flaw I saw is too many shots went right into the defending bodies verses at the goalie/net or not taken, must remember it was close - later a one goal game.
This team will come storming out of the gate in Omaha, you can book it. The Mavericks are going to get lassoed
This team won the last 3 NCHC 's and should be in the running again.

Is there ever a game that is rigged now a days?
If Arz. elections can be, surely an Arz. hockey game can.

NDSU switched to Bison in in 1922. Well, according to the spectrum it was ‘Bissons’, lol.

Bissons and Flickertails is what is was.
    Eight years later....

"Sioux" Replaces "Flickertail" as Caption of University Sports Teams reads the top of the Dakota Students on October 2, 1930.  In the first column, it read, "at convocation yesterday morning the formal and official announcement was made that the athletic board of control had conducted the rites of changing the name and had given their sanction to the abolition of Flickertail and the enactment of the more appropriate Sioux"

For the next 39 years, the University of North Dakota's athletic nickname was the Sioux. In the 60s, the word "Fighting" was added to make it "Fighting Sioux."

Soon thereafter (1970), a student expressed his disapproval of the images. And, you know the end of this story.
MODS, could this be called a thread drift, sorry - just had to respond to this poster that wasn't trolling.

  7. Hours after Taylor Swift announced her sixth concert tour, The Eras Tour, the internet erupted with complaints from fans trying to snag presale tickets on Ticketmaster after the site all but crashed upon impact.

Swifties call for Department of Justice to destroy Ticketmaster after Taylor Swift’s touring announcement (msn.com)

Long considered the world’s largest marketplace for ticket sales, Ticketmaster is the go-to website for those looking to buy concert tickets, sports tickets, and various other performance-based ticket sales. Not for the first time, the company is being dragged through the mud for its monopoly on live events and ensuing astronomical prices. Now, in light of The Eras Tour complications, Swifties are calling on the Department of Justice to investigate and break up Ticketmaster once and for all.

do we even have badgers in GF?

Sure looks like a badger hole (I've trapped them), most definitely in the area.

    As farms are:
    getting bigger - less farmsteads
    without poultry
    pastures mostly not used
    slues not hayed
    CRP

animals are making comebacks and encroaching towns/cities.
