Name another program at our [theoretical] level pulling similar kids from similar schools and competing in Frozen Fours.  Is Michigan or Minnesota or Denver using Lindenwood band aids for their programs?  Maybe they are and I'm unaware.

Quinnipiac did alright this year after adding a portal player from LSS and I don't consider LSS a great program.

I see that a gopher fan tweeted a reply to Schloss’ announcement about Persson, quoting his numbers and laughing. Clearly this person has absolutely no clue about the kind of goaltender he is and the fact he played on some absolutely gawd awful teams.

I can imagine they laughed as hard as I would if they told me that Close is a better goalie

There is a lot to read, and I honestly do not want to go back and read it all, so if this has been covered, I apologize.
What if most of these players that are entering the transfer portal have been told by the staff that they should enter it? Let's be honest most of these players that are entering it didn't play or were not overly exciting as players and Berry think's that they aren't going to get better. The portal has been a detriment to college sports, but it also is a good way to clean house from players that aren't cutting it anymore.

I partially agree with the exception of Constantini.  From what I watched he brought some speed up front and I feel that we needed some of that last year.  I'm guessing there are a few variables that led to him leaving UND.  He might have been asked/told but I have a hard time believing the coaches wanted him to leave. Its not like there's a big traffic jam in the forward group and even if there was, Constantini wouldn't be on my list of players to move on from.  That's a subjective opinion from a fan that doesn't know what's going on behind the scenes.

  4. What is causing early departures to the portal?  Constantini and Johnson are drafted players and are going elsewhere?  I know that being drafted doesn't guarantee that the player is a superstar but I felt that those two guys had potential to do well here.  Is it playing time?  Off ice/locker room issues? Attitude?  I just don't understand.

    And that's not his role.

Nope but let's get more just like him to fill spots for guys that can put it in the back of the net. All I'm saying is from what I have seen this year scoring is the issue.

He's not a top-6 player on our team when we have our best two best centers healthy. Simonson plays his role as good as anyone on the team -- two-way and being responsible. He's not a scorer.

No kidding he's not a scorer

Weatherby still leads the BCHL in scoring.  Tychonick is 4th in BCHL defensemen scoring.  Gavin Hain is putting up over a half point per game playing against some pretty good competition.  These are the three that will likely be regulars in the lineup next season.  I've read great things about Senden's character and from the description of his game he projects as a Mario Lamoureux/Jonny Simonson type.  Keane has struggled.  Oh, and Adam Scheel is being lauded as Penticton's MVP this year...although it will likely go to their point producing BSU commit.  I'm excited to see what the younger guys can do next year in their respective leagues (esp. Caulfield, Donovan, and Ethan Bowen).

BTW, Jacob Bernard-Docker seems ready to come in next year which really jams up the D position.  Thoughts?  Does he stay on with Okotoks or go to the USHL? Or...?

Imo we don't need a Mario or simonson type player. Watching simonson play makes me scratch my head. Either he is in the lineup because he's a native grand forks guy or he's good in the lockeroom. He wouldn't be a top 6 forward on half the team's in the ncaa. On an unrelated topic, does anyone know where kleven plans to play juniors?

  8. First post on the football side of things here on ss. I was wondering if there is any talk of ndsu moving to a different conference? I watched the game last night and it was terrible for a playoff game. They should up the level of competition a bit don't you think? Big fish in a small pool thing going on.

What a joke. Had she gotten the job this would not have been an issue. Now she’s grasping for straws. All of these people are emboldened by a few that had legit abuse. The boy who cried wolf if starting to come to mind.

Agreed 100%. Hard to believe that is considered harassment nowadays

I was surprised when nobody posted about this last night. They're calling it the same both ways, but they are letting a lot of interference go. Free to tie a guy up as long as he touched the puck within the last 10 seconds.

There have been so many plays on both sides that would have been called last weekend. I personally like this type of officiating

Who will be out this weekend? Guchi sitting both games? Yon out at all?

As for the D-men I think it's obvious Bast will be playing.

I would like to see bast and kiersted. Sit Johnson.
