I hadn't noticed it until you had brought it to my attention. I searched for a clip art image off the web. What I came up with is just an idea. Someone with more artistic skills could make it look a lot better.

Since my last FH logo idea didn't fly with the readers from a week ago, I am making another attempt here. I like the idea of using a fighter jet instead of a bird. Here's what I came up with. Whoever gets the go-ahead to design UND's new logo could go this route.

I thought that I would have some fun and decided to come up with my own idea of what a "Fighting Hawk" logo should look like for UND. I took an internet image of Henery Hawk, the little chickenhawk from Looney Tunes and photo-shopped it a little bit. It took me about five minutes to come up with this logo. I hope that you find it amusing.

This might be a bit late for posting, but if UND were to pick Roughriders as its new nickname, it really doesn't have to have any ties with Teddy Roosevelt. Below is the logo that the Southern McLean High School Roughriders uses on their uniforms in Washburn, North Dakota. I think that it's a pretty cool logo.
