  1. I kind of get that impression also. Hope us distant fans get periodic updates.

I hope the team will fight the whole 60 minutes of every game this year.

Kind of felt there were times last year the team stopped playing before the final whistle.

  2. Ok. The football forum, minus our complaining, is about dead.

Spring ball started two days ago and hardly a word.

Come on people. Let’s hear some chatter, some critiques, and some criticism.

90% of the time this forum is the only link us fans hundreds of miles away have.

We need to get this up to a fevered pitch by August.

  3. I understand most of the people on this board, including my self, are pro Und. In a few years the yearly Sioux/ Bison battle will return. The tougher the Bison are the Tougher the Sioux will be and it will take a very good and very tough team to bring home a National Championship. Having to go through a legitimate Bison team will only make it better.

    I agree.

UND needs to do very well at recruiting in North Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin in order to be a championship level program. They just won't be able to recruit enough annual talent completely avoiding that.

*Unfortunately, after the Big 10 schools, NDSU is almost always next in line for those local kids. UND wins 1/10 (10%) of those battles, if that*

Bubba and his staff need to stop hoping for local miracles (recruiting kids with no DI offers) and start winning over talent that is highly touted. Of course, they may also need *some* talent out of the area due to NDSU's overwhelming presence, but lately they haven't shown the ability to really even do that.

The 2017 season really brought forward the recruiting concerns for me. The backups (mostly freshmen) that played may not be instant all-americans or even all-conference types, but they should at least show flashes (AT THE VERY LEAST). Many did not even show that.

Bubba and his staff need some recruiting hits (success stories) for 2018 or else UND needs a new staff if not simply for just more competent recruiting.

UND can up their odds by offering local athletes scholarships. I think NDSU try’s getting local talent for free for a year or so.

  5. Well I know the year didn't turn out the way we thought. The team didn't get the win today but we saw some players have some fire. I can handle this type of loss.

To the seniors, thanks for your efforts, I enjoyed every moment and here's to your bright future. Tonight I toast you with Sam Adam's Winter Lager and Windsor Canadian, the only miniatures the liquor store had.

Eagle fan here coming to your place this weekend. I am not accustomed to indoor football so looking for some guidance. How warm is it inside your place? Are coats necessary?jacket? short sleeves?

At the game I would recommend you try the fried cheese curds. We eat a couple orders each game. If your into regional beers say something on the message board. Few of the posters really know their hops and barely

  7. I'm going to this game with the same attitude I've brought to every game over the years. These young people on the field,  who will go on to do great things for us and this country deserve that attitude. Win or lose, they deserve it.

  8. Simply stated, I challenge all players to do their best next week. Win or lose, do your best and the week after I will be cheering you in Grand Forks. I tip my hat to the young, undersized players who have been taking the field the past couple weeks and giving it your best. Can't wait to see what you've become in a year or two.
