  1. Are there any Sioux Fans in the Sioux City, IA area that are going to get together and watch the game tomorrow and hopefully Saturday? Im desperately looking for some Sioux fans down in this area!! Please let me know I would love to meet up at a bar and watch the game!
  2. How did that Daggett kid looked, I saw him run track and he is a monster athlete, unbelievable size and quickness, and he is physically built to play. I think he could suprise this year or be a stud in the years to come. Anyone who was at the scrimmage got any report on how all the freshmen looked?
  3. Anyone got any information or idea on which way the Wahlin girl is leaning? I hope the Sioux get her.
  4. I was wondering who people think could be this years breakout player, someone who hasn't had A chance yet to show what they can do, but everyone will be talking about at the end of the year. Also, I've been hearing a lot about some of the freshmen, who is the most physical ready to play? Lots of freshmen are talented but not physical ready, any freshmen standout? I'm looking forward to this season, GO SIOUX!!
  5. I know its all just predictions and not many of us have probaly seen many of the these guys play, but out of our verbals so far, who do you think has the most upside and who will end up being the most impact player. My bet is on Drew Daggett from Frazee, i have seen him run track and play a few games, and I don't know if I ever remember a kid coming in who will be physically ready to compete and play right away. This guy is an absolutly unbelievable athlete, one of the best hurdlers and high jumpers in MN, and at 6'5 or 6'6 he could develop into and unreal receiving threat with his height, speed, and jumping ability. I also know he has a great work ethic. What does everyone else think or who is the most impressive recuit they have seen.
  6. Yea I was at the game. RR hung in there right away but then Crookston just dominated. They went on some huge runs, I think Crookston ended up winning by 30 but they couldve won by about 50 or 60 if they wanted. Wahlin had a great game, she is an unreal ball handler and great passer and shooter. She is very good. I don't about our chances with here, I think if this was 5 years ago we would have a chance cause ive heard shes a Sioux fan and stuff, but I don't know if she will want to go through the transition period with no post-season. Someone from Crookston told me she took a recruiting visit to Minnesota on Sunday and was there for the game they lost to SDSU. Who knows we will have to see. She is an unreal player though, and still only a junior.
  7. I would say she is alright, but not close to as good as Wahlin, I saw in the paper the other day that so far this year Wahlin as a sophmore, has scored her 1000th point, set Crookston single season records in points and assists, and leads the team in scoring, assists, steals, and rebounding. Crookston has only lost a few this year and there whole team is sophmores, and I mean the whole team. If she wanted she could easily average 30, I think she will go higher than the Sioux. I bet she is one of the top 5 players in the state, regardless of class. Its just hard to say casue she doesnt play that many good teams. Crookston plays undefeated Barnsville at UMC on Friday for the right to go to State, go check it out.
  8. Did anyone see this game last Friday? Sounds like Crookston team shot lights out according the GF Herald and is pretty good. They are putting up 90 points regulary. I guess their top 10 players are sophmores, I think the Sioux will be keeping an eye on alot of these girls in the future. They look like they'll dominate the area in girls hoops for awhile.
  9. Wahlin is actually about 5'8", which is pretty good size for a girls point guard at any level, I don't think here size is a factor, maybe she will grow more to. If you want to look at her stats go check the kroxam website out. Here is a link to the stats http://www.kroxam.com/Pirate%20Girls%20Basketball.htm
  10. That whole Crookston girls team I guess is pretty impressive, something like 8 of their top 9 players are sophmores. In their games this year so far they have put up like 85,71, and 94 points. They look to be a dominate team for the next couple years. You know who the girls coach is, head football coach at Crookston and former UND player Eric Schmidt. I have heard about this class of Crookston sophmores before, I don't know if they ever lost a game in all the youth tourney's they played in and they won like 5 straight Pacesetter state championships. Maybe I will try to catch them play this weekend here in GF.
  11. We just aren't that good, face the facts, Hasktol doens't get the best out of recruits, fire his ass
  12. UMC is awful to, they will be lucky to win many games, i expect more than the effort i saw during that game
  13. Its not about talent, its about being a team.
  14. The sioux always are missing local kids who could play, plus this would drive up interest in the team. They get to many of these transfers who come in and think they will just dominate, we need more local kids to make a TEAM. Im tired of watching this showboating all game, NW MN has some talent, as the women have got those players and they are doing fine.
  15. i think she is kenley's sister, hopefully sioux can get her, at the game on sunday a Wahlin was playing for UMC, wonder if they are all related someway?
