They also had an exhibition loss to DI Marquette and an exhibition win over NAIA Black Hills State. The Wolves are picked 2nd in the NSIC Preseason Poll and received votes in the NABC National Preseason Poll. They finished last season with a 21-8 record including an 88-84 overtime win over UND at the Betty. They are led by pre-season All-American forward Kevin Ratzsch, who led the NSIC in scoring last season (18.6 pts/game), and guard Craig Nelson (14 pts/game last season).
