I quickly remembered why I can't stand cheering for the gopher hockey team. In the future I will watch the football and basketball games on tv because you really can't hear the rouser very well. Before the Friday Gopher game against Mankato, I was walking up the stairs when a little boy in a Gopher jersey who must have been about 5 of 6 years old started pointing at my Sioux jersey. I smiled and said hi, and then he got up and tried leaning over the railing to hit me as his dad laughed and pulled him back into his seat. Then I looked up and saw a group of Sioux fans laughing, and I told them to watch out because that kid isn't too fond of Sioux fans apparently. They're learning young.
