jimdahl Posted December 22, 2006 Share Posted December 22, 2006 Foss, Bakken honored by state sports association Sioux Sports writers emeritus honored by the the North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame: Foss is a two-time North Dakota Sportswriter of the Year best known for his coverage of UND hockey. He also has covered UND football and basketball, in addition to prep coverage during his years at the Herald.Bakken joined the Grand Forks Herald after graduating from Minnesota State Moorhead in 1973. He was a sportswriter and sports editor at the Herald until he left sports to become a columnist and senior news writer in August 1998.
