UND to join NDSU in newly named MID-CON

Speculation now is that UND, and both South Dakota schools will be playing in the old MID-CON. The conference has decided to change the name from MID-CON to another name, and speculation is that the name will be COUNTRY VALLEY conference.

North Dakota State negotiations also included that they will help UND, and other regional schools in joining them in the new conference.

It would be great to get the old school NCC schools together again (except for those dipsh-ts from UNO). I applaud NDSU if they are making a sincere effort for this. Let the rivalry begin? Again?

Can you link to this press release? Does it have a UND letterhead? I would be willing to bet it doesn't exist. This would definitely alienate some of the current core schools in the conference and they would lose their automatic qualifier if one or two of them left. NDSU won't be pushing for something that could jeopardize that auto bid.

Besides, I thought the Big Sky was drooling over getting UND and they were a lock to get in the ideal conference for UND.
