MafiaMan Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Interesting that the MAAC seems to think it's shoes are pretty big while at the same time, one of its member schools (Fairfield University in Connecticut) is scrapping its D-1 hockey program. Let's hope some of their other scrubby schools follow suit. Quote
Fighting Sioux Fan Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 The MAAC splitting to get two autobids. Why don't they just recruit better players and have better teams if they want to get more teams in the NCAAs? Quote
Goon Posted February 8, 2003 Posted February 8, 2003 The MAAC splitting to get two autobids. Why don't they just recruit better players and have better teams if they want to get more teams in the NCAAs? What I got from the article on USCHO was that they were waiting for the decision from the NCAA on the CHA and the WCHA. Or maybe I read that wrong, but I am sorry the MAAC has not proved it can play on the same level as the the big Four. It would be a travesty if the MAAC split and became two leagues and they ended up getting two auto bids. I hope that does not happen... Quote
