Marty
Did anyone see the play with about one minute left in regulation when the puck was sitting still in the crease behind Frazee? A Husky was standing there and he jabbed his stick at the puck to push it in, but a Gopher hooks him with his stick and hauls him down to the ice, while Frazee lays back on the puck. For some mind boggling reason they give a penalty to the Husky for roughing the goaltender. The puck was sitting in the crease untouched by anyone and a Husky pokes at the puck and gets a penalty. I don't think he even touched Frazee. Then, while on the powerplay, Potulny one-times it to get the Gophers within one. It was a ridiculous call that shouldn't have even entered the refs head. I am sick and tired of WCHA refs trying to control games by making phantom calls. It's not fun to watch. Last night's game should have never gone into regulation. I would love to hear what Gopher fans think of this. The maroon and gold fans I have talked to seem to think it's OK because these kinds of calls balance themselves and all the teams get the same amount of wrong calls going there way. However, I have seen it too many times go in the Gophers favor.
