PCM Posted January 12, 2003 Posted January 12, 2003 In the Sunday Herald, there's a letter to the editor from Michelle Abernathey, the UND Barnes & Noble bookstore manager, regarding the recent shot glass controversy. It makes everything as clear as mud. She says that while the recent Herald articles were accurate, the only item the bookstore won't sell is the Sioux shot glass. Well, if that's the only thing the bookstore isn't selling, then the stories weren't accurate. The free advertising sales pitch at the end of the letter is the best part. Quote
Bacardio Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 JBB - Why do you continue to post here? We have already gotten the point that you are a racist and that your purpose on this planet is to direct the entire Sioux nation, who by your actions and words, don't seem to have the ability to speak or think for themselves. But your self-serving sermons are getting old. You obviously have no desire to listen to the Sioux tribe as a whole, and you continue to disgrace them by demanding that they bend to your well. So since you are not helping the Sioux nation out, please tell us your real reason for getting on this soapbox. You must need the publicity for something? Running for public office? Trying to be on the next Survivor series? What? You have already prove to everyone that you are the world's biggest hypocrite. The Fighting Sioux name was taken to honor and respect the local Lakota Sioux tribe, when the LOCAL tribe itself or the NATIONAL Sioux tribe ask the name to be changed, we will listen. (And the last I heard, both still are standing behind the majority of Sioux and respect its usage) BUT when it is a group of self-serving non-Sioux (and SMALL, and I mean SMALL, group of Sioux, but still self-serving) demands that we all should bow down to their whims, we will refuse to listen to their clan speeches. So, JBB, please do us and the Sioux tribe a favor and go away. Quote
UND Fan Posted January 14, 2003 Posted January 14, 2003 Just ignore him - he will go away! Don't even read his posts! Quote

Translation, white, liberal out of touch arts and science professors who are bitter and jealous of athletes. Ie professors that teach courses like english lit, sociology, revisionist history etc...
