Greybeard
I think I saw a graphic on FSN this past weekend that the Gophers had beaten the Sioux, all-time, 132 times and the Sioux had beaten the Gophers about 16 times less. I THINK I've heard that the Gophers have a winning record versus all WCHA opponents. So, two questions, because of the very large number of times they've played each other: 1. Have the Gophers beaten the Sioux more than they've beaten anyone else in WCHA games? 2. Have the Sioux beaten the Gophers more than they've beaten anyone else in WCHA games? Also, would the answers change considerably if we deleted all post-season play?
sagard
So, two questions, because of the very large number of times they've played each other: 1. Have the Gophers beaten the Sioux more than they've beaten anyone else in WCHA games? The Gophers have beaten CC, MTU and UW more than they have beaten the Sioux. Despite about thirty less games played against those foes. 2. Have the Sioux beaten the Gophers more than they've beaten anyone else in WCHA games? Also, would the answers change considerably if we deleted all post-season play? I doubt it. I'm sure the Sioux have beaten CC/MTU and likely DU more than they have beaten the Gophers. I don't think the answers would change if post season play was ruled out.
Smoggy
Don't forget that UND and UM don't agree on the all time records.
WPoS
of course not, UM has the "record" in our mind and UND has the "record" in their mind...just as UND fans don't recognize any national championships prior to the inception of the NC$$....I like my sig line record tho WPoS
