PCM
A colleague sent me this story. I thought it was most appropriate for this forum. Two Wolves One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith." The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?" The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed." They aren't Sioux. GK will just roll his eyes at this. Seriously, though, good find!

I'm sending it out as a Thanksgiving card. Thanks PCM (It's ok to still have Thanksgiving, isn't it?)
MafiaMan
This is great! I'm sending it out as a Thanksgiving card. Thanks PCM (It's ok to still have Thanksgiving, isn't it?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Assuming we're still allowed to celebrate Thanksgiving, Sioux-cia. Rumor has it that GK is lobbying the state legislature to ban the holiday in North Dakota.
sioux goo
GK may claim there was a mis representation by the story being told of Thanksgiving...so the name will have to be changed!!!

SiouxMeNow
Actually.......lolol <{POST_SNAPBACK}> GK knows..in his TRUE heart which wolf he feeds and it's not the good one. He's resisted all attempts to even LOOK at the other side. I've offered him opportunities to attend and chronicle all the wrongs he sees at UND games and he's balked... That says a lot in itself! I don't dislike him for what he says...only for what he's NOT willing to do to back up his cause...
Bacardio
Assuming we're still allowed to celebrate Thanksgiving, Sioux-cia. Rumor has it that GK is lobbying the state legislature to ban the holiday in North Dakota. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Since the Indians that had the feast with the settlers were not Sioux, the event didn't really happen. And since the event didn't happen Thanksgiving isn't real holiday... Therefore it is abusive and hostile to celebrate it.
