It says he was a sideline reporter between '99 and '02. Not sure if that's it though or not?

I thought I remembered him more recently than that. I rarely remember sideline reporters, but he often had valuable insight. The name helped too.

Yeah, I seem to remember him more recently too. Was he with another network, perhaps CBS? He was kind of a Jack Arute.

Actually I just found out he worked for ESPN until '03. This last year he was allowed to do some "scouting" for the Vikes. He was supposed to report to Rochester for his prison sentence this week.
