star2city
No real surprise here, but looks like there will be another NHL exhibition at the REA this fall: St. Paul Pioneer-Press Training camp opens Sept. 12 in the Twin Cities. The Wild expect to play exhibition road games at Chicago and Buffalo, and a "home" game in Grand Forks, N.D.
johnsowe
Any ideas who they would play? May be New Jersey or the Flames.

spfreak
That matchup is a lot more intriguing with Crosby in the mix.

star2city
The Florida Panthers vs The Wild http://www.wild.com/schedule/010/886/ Fri., September 23 Florida Panthers Ralph Engelstad Arena - Grand Forks, ND 7:30 PM
spfreak
They have some good players (Horton, Bouwmeester, Luongo, Weiss, possibly Anthony Stewart). Not as good as the Pens would have been but not as bad as if the Wild were playing a split squad game against each other.
redwing77
It should be a pretty even matchup. IMO, bot the Wild and the Panthers are great in goal, have ok (Wild may have a little better) at D, and both have nothing for scorers (when Gaborik isn't on the ice). This is going to be a wild 3-2 Wild win. And that's being generous with the goals.
bigmrg74
Too bad it wasn't Edmonton or Calgary playing the Wild at the Ralph. Those Canadians would be willing to travel to Grand Forks just as much as the Minneasota fans would.
