They go by the seedings set for the NCAA tournament. So the Sioux will be the road team against the gophs due to their #2 seed vs. #1 for the gophs.

As for which #1 seed is the home team, I don't know which were "first" and "last" #1 seeds. I think MN got the last #1 seed. But don't know who is home or road in the CC/Denver tilt.

Thanks, I thought that's how it would be done (but was hoping for the possibility of "head to head" games for the season, so the Sioux would have the "home" designation). What the heck, they did it before at the X, so go do it again (to quote "Steely Dan")!

Denver got the higher #1 seed (slightly controversial), and will be the home team in the first semifinal. Minnesota will be the home team in the second game. The winner of the DU/CC tilt will be the home team in the final because they were both higher #1s than Minnesota. (DU #2 overall, CC #3 overall, MN #4 overall)

When there was discussion about DU being seeded higher overall, the scope of the debate was its implication on the regional brackets, but now it also gives them advantage in a game *against* CC, who, by the strict pairwise numbers, should have been the #2 overall. Since the committee chose to "settle things on the ice", even though the other comparisons went to CC, they have given another advantage to Denver. Any thoughts on how much last line change helps DU? I would think that any time you can choose which forwards and D-pair to match with Sterling/Sertich, you're money ahead.

Which means CC will likely wear their ugly black uniforms... That's the most difficult part... I think I'll listen to that game on the radio.
