Digger does have one thing that the rest of the possible candidates have. Name Recognition. I still say he's got a good shot at getting the HH. Frankly, you could say that another Defensive player is due to win the award. Nobody else's name has really come up in the preseason for the award. And, he's playing for a team that is a very safe bet to go deep into the playoffs. He might not put points on the board, but you can always agrue that he keeps points off the board, and that's half the battle in winning a football game. Throwing him in some Offensive packages wouldn't hurt his chances any. Be an extra blocker, some trick plays built around him to give opponents fits trying to scout out in practice. Just thinking outloud here.

Anyone remember when they use to put BIG Mark Callahan in the backfiled. That was great. Dale Lennon is way to conservative and wouldn't risk injury, which I wouldnt blame him.

Kuper was named to the "CDC Underappreciated 2005-2006 Draft Team" Go to

www.condraft.com and click on "CDC UA Team" Basically they track players that are typically are "under the radar" type kids. I think this would fit Digger and possibly a couple of other sioux players. They have an interview and a discussion board for the players to log on and answer questions about their playing career. Parts of the website are free but there are others that you have to pay to access.
