PCM Posted October 27, 2002 Posted October 27, 2002 I thought it was interesting that after the Niagara game Saturday night, Blais said that the low number of shots on goal the Sioux goalies were seeing actually works against them. He said most goalies like to see 10 shots a period to stay involved in the game. But he also said the Sioux will be in games where the goalies see 30-40 shots a game. Quote
ScottM Posted October 27, 2002 Posted October 27, 2002 I agree Pat. I think it's pretty easy for a goalie to lose his focus if he's not busy for long periods of time. While it is nice that we've been able to keep our SOG under 20 so far, that probably won't be the case when we move into the WCHA schedule. Then our netminders had better be sharp and focused. Quote
