jbvollmer Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 I remember those days as well. I was a student in the mid '80's. During intramurals the week before a MN or WI series, somebody would always sneak some sort of dead rodent in and hide it somewhere accessible during the game. Plus, it helped being buddies with the pep band. They were always able to sneak in with a "beverage" as well. One other note: Most players loved playing the old Ralph for those very reasons. No other arena had as much character as the old Ralph/WSC. Granted, I love those leather seats and cherry arm rests, but to get a "feel" of what college hockey truly is, give me a Halloween night game against Wisconsin or Minnesota in the old WSC any day!!!!! dakotadan Posted January 7, 2005 Posted January 7, 2005 There was a dead gopher thrown on the ice at the saturday night game against minnesota this year. The same night as the blow out it was a fitting end to the night. Quote
