dickgraham Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 Now that the Vikings need a kicker, I'm wondering what ever happened to Cameron Peterka? I haven't heard a thing about him for several months since Dale Lennon said that Cameron had a bad agent and was working on getting a new one. DG Quote
The Sicatoka Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 I told somebody yesterday that "even Rich Glas could out-kick Doug Brien." They told me, "You mean Jeff Glas." I told them, "I meant EXACTLY what I said." Quote
Diggler Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 I was just thinking that the Vikings should pick up Paterka. It certainly couldn't hurt any and it would be great to see. I'm pretty sure he could do better than Brien. Cameron is also from the Twin Cities, that would be neat. Did Cameron really have a bad agent? It seemed wierd to me that he didn't even seem to get a chance in the NFL. He was about the #3 kicker in the country last year in all divisions. He can kick 60 yard field goals for God's Sake. You would've thought he'd at least gotten a chance. He isn't even in the CFL. Really weird. Quote
mksioux Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 It appears as though the Vikes are going to pick up Gary Anderson for field goals and PAT's and will likely retain Brien for kick-offs. I've heard no mention of Peterka down here in the Twin Cities. Quote
mksioux Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 In other Sioux-Vikings news, Kleinsasser is out 2 to 4 weeks with a small fracture of the tibia in his right leg. Quote
PCM Posted September 16, 2002 Posted September 16, 2002 In other Sioux-Vikings news, Kleinsasser is out 2 to 4 weeks with a small fracture of the tibia in his right leg. Well, there's goes the only reason that I watch the Vikings. Quote
dickgraham Posted September 19, 2002 Author Posted September 19, 2002 Dale made his comments about a bad agent on Ed Schultz's morning radio talk show a few months ago. DG Quote
BisonSuck Posted September 25, 2002 Posted September 25, 2002 Peterka was training with Gary Anderson for the better part of the winter down in the cities. I know a lot of teams were looking at him. He can boot the ball a long ways, but when he went to the combined I heard that he struggled a bit in getting the ball up in a hurry. A very important trait NFL kickers need, to the best of my knowledge. Quote
