tailgaiting for family of players

Has anyone ever set up a tailgating spot for family? Every one would be welcome of course but it seems like most players parents don't have a clue who is who.

I believe in the years it was successful it was because there were a couple of player parents that organized it. I am pretty sure the football department helped with logistics.

This year the football parents/families have a group facebook page which keeps everyone up to date with the latest details.  Plus there will be a parent/tailgating area this year at all home games.
