The Sicatoka Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 After an ugly summer of flooding, Minot has a chance to win Coca-Cola's "Live Postively" park restoration contest. The residents of Minot are voting to restore Oak Park. It also had the only Splash Pad in town for kids to go and cool off. You can vote as many times as you want. Every vote helps. Hey, everything helps Minot at this point. To vote go to: http://m.livepositively.com/park_details.jsp?parkId=11775 Quote

siouxforeverbaby Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Also, to let everyone know...there is a group collecting Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Land o' Lakes caps, and Our Family product UPCS to try and help the schools that were affected by the flooding. They are concentrating on 6 of the area schools in Ramstad, Lincoln, Longfellow, Little Flower, Sunnyside, and HeadStart. They would also like to try and help the Adult Learning Center and Central Campus Alternative. Here is the page on facebook about this happening. wsdSIOUXfalls Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 There's no limit to the number of times you can vote (I voted 2 hrs last night while 'watching' TV - easy to do). Minot's Oak Park is ahead, but other towns are challenging their people and starting to close the gap. Voting goes through Sept. 6th, and I challenge other SS members to replace online game or browsing time this month with voting - to help Minot get the $100,000 grant to fix Oak Park! http://m.livepositively.com/park_details.jsp?parkId=11775 After an ugly summer of flooding, Minot has a chance to win Coca-Cola's "Live Postively" park restoration contest.
