GeauxSioux Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 CSU-Bakersfield is also on the Big sky radar...... Jeff Evans: 'Runners are all dressed up with nowhere to goCSUB officials have long targeted the Big West as the school's preferred conference home because of the close proximity of the members which lessens travel costs and the number of former Roadrunner rivals that are in that conference, such as Cal Poly, Cal State Northridge and UC Davis. The Big Sky figures to be CSUB's second choice if the Big West remains uninterested in the Roadrunners. And from Bakersfield's perspective there is some optimism brewing in the Big Sky.And Fullerton said the Big Sky has talked with prospective expansion targets North Dakota, South Dakota and Southern Utah, who each have football programs. "We are probably looking to add one 'core' member," he said. "We'd like to get to 12 in football, so we could go to two divisions, and get to an even number in basketball." Quote
bincitysioux Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I can't really see the Big Sky looking to Bakersfield unless it blows up WAC-style and loses Montana, Montana St., Sac St., and Portland St. all within a year.................. Quote
