The Sicatoka
"The event had a strong voting contingent throughout the bracket, and rightly so." Uh, ... voting? Bracket? When? Where? That's about all that needs to be said.

That's about all that needs to be said. I have been getting emails about it since June sometime(?). I think that it was sent out via email to the people that are signed up for the emails from fightingsioux.com. Or if you went to the athletic home page. artsnott99
Soooooo......a swimmer defeats the 2001 national championship football team, which in my mind would be considered "THE BEST of the 2000's" considering it was the first national championship for football. Also, you could argue the 2000 hockey national championship, too. But, swimming!!! I don't even know anyone who has ever been to a swim meet.........how many seats does their stadium hold? haha. Anyway, this poll seems like a complete joke if you ask me.

Second, the 2000 hockey national championship was an option, they lost out in the semi-finals, i believe.....this was something that the Athletic Dept ran after asking Sioux Fans to submit what they thought was the Best of the 2000s and then asking them to vote. Anyway, this poll seems like a complete joke if you ask me. Anyone that gives serious consideration to any poll done on the internet is wasting their own time. Nothing about any of these polls is scientific. The only time they are accurate at all is by accident. They are worth about as much as a $100 bill drawn in crayon. In this case it is obvious that current or past swimmers for UND, or their family members, were the main group paying attention and voting. Most of the rest of us weren't paying attention or didn't care enough to be involved. Congrats to Ms. Gormally.
