The Great West would be the only available football conference. UCSD looks into DI leap, football Take a quick look at the University of California athletics programs and UCSD sticks out like a sore thumb. MplsBison Posted June 5, 2009 Share Posted June 5, 2009 UCSD is on par with Cal and UCLA in terms of academics. The entire UC system is AAU. If they really wanted to invest in facilities, they could probably get membership in the Pac10, but I doubt they want to make that kind of investment.
