kr Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 Anyone out there have a link to last year's final standings for strength of schedule? I had been referring to this: http://www.uscho.com/rankings/?data=krach which shows UND had a sos at #16 -- but I don't believe that was the final standing..... Quote
sagard Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 http://slack.net/~whelan/tbrw/2003/rpi.shtml This shows last years RPI components. It shows UND at #25, but that excludes the Ferris game. One could easily argue that the KRACH number is more accurate, but the currently the RPI SOS is used. Quote
kr Posted September 18, 2003 Author Posted September 18, 2003 Thank You! It's pretty interesting to note the differences between the two sites. RPI has: Krach has: CC #20 CC #8 MN #3 MN #2 UND #25 UND #16 MSU-M #17 MSU-M #10 St Cloud #2 St Cloud #5 DU #12 DU #13 UMD #29 UMD #19 WI #14 WI #15 UAA #19 UAA #20 MT #10 MT #17 Regardless of which system is used the WCHA as a whole had a good showing. I'm surprised at the 12 spot differential for CC (20 vs. 8). The other noteable SoS were 2 final four participants: Cornell #30/#26 and Michigan #27/#18. Quote
jimdahl Posted September 18, 2003 Posted September 18, 2003 2002 RPI 2002 Bradley-Terry (KRACH) I just reran both with the 2002 data to help with this question, though I'll have to wipe that out soon and tie it back into 2003. They include all games played, including the complete NCAA tournament. Quote
kr Posted September 19, 2003 Author Posted September 19, 2003 Thanks Jim! Another question How far along does the season need to be so that a "valid" SoS may be calculated? Quote
