star2city Posted August 3, 2010 Posted August 3, 2010 MSU-Moorhead was supposed to announce this month what plans, if any, it has for DI hockey. Has anyone heard anything? Supposedly, the CCHA had potential interest in granting them membership. The new DI move-up rules appear to still allow DII schools to play-up, if DII doesn't sponsor a championship in that sport. Geographically and otherwise this makes sense. MSU Moorhead is much better located than Huntsville, AL and has a much more established program... .no wait. Nevermind. Quote

It makes sense from a recruiting standpoint: potential Minnesota recruits and USHL players get to see CCHA teams live. Moreover, their family and friends would get to watch them play if MSUM ever got in the CCHA. UAH deserves the CCHA bid, but the CCHA has been bull headed about it. Quote
star2city Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Hockey still on backburner at Moorhead Quote
