Wookie#12 Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 Marquette and Orchard Lake St. Mary's played to a 1 all tie. After 8 eight mins over time periods. http://www.freep.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article.../803090714/1057 Box score http://www.mhsaa.com/sports/hock/08d1final.html One of the players for St. Mary's played on the football team that lost to East Grand Rapids in a state-record five overtimes, 46-39, in the Division 3 title game in November. The kids seem happy to be co-champs rather than not being champions at all. Quote

UMDDogz Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 That was one thing lacking from this year's MSHSL Tourney. The only good OT game was Edina v. Benilde. I can't remember a tourney with more blowouts. Very few games were of the back-and-forth variety. Once one team got out ahead, they shut it down on D. The fire department wasn't very busy this weekend, as the barn didn't even come close to burning in St. Paul... Quote
