    I will give everybody some hard facts that i know for sure are the only real guys to be leaving after this season:

     

    Nick Mattson- 100%

    Andrew Panzarella- 100%

    Connor Gaarder- 100%

    Mark MacMillan- 50%

    Brendan O'Donnell- 100%

    Michael Parks- 100%

    Stephane Pattyn- 100%

     

    Everybody else is still unknown. I have heard that the NCAA is going to make Mark MacMillan a 5th year senior because he took a shot to the knee which is below the waist but above the ankle. :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:

    I heard that Zane is taking the free flight with the team next week and when Hak has his back turned he is going to slip away and sign a pro contract just hours before UND plays Boston University. Then Cam Johnson is going to suit up and not wear a helmet in turn the NCAA is going to implement the "no lifting the puck" rule (Rule 127.6.4 on page 34 of the rule book). I also heard through the grape vine that Stephane Pattyn, who they call the "general,"is actually a general in the 3rd infantry of the Canadian army and is going to have to go do his duty to the country and will miss the game as well. See we all can say things with no real evidence behind it ,like i just did, but the only way to find out what is going to happen is to play the time honored "waiting game". i personally have evidence to back up my findings but that is for another day. :whistling:  :whistling:  :whistling:  :D  :D  :D

    Chances of Mark Mac playing in boston.

    I know that UND said that Mark Mac is done for the season, but what are the chances that he is flying under the radar to make a sneek attack against BU and (Omaha)? Rand Pecknold said Sam Anas was 100% not playing on friday but he was thier playing. he looked pretty good hoisting the penrose 2 1/2 weeks ago.

    So, I'm not looking past this weekend or just assuming we will be at the Frozen Four, this is just for fun ....

     

    Aside from my bracket having UND getting out of our region, who would we play in Boston? UMD (Solid team)? Goofers (Been playing better lately)? Yale (Great Goalie)? Boston U (Regional Favorite)? I have Duluth beating Minnesota; though that was one of the hardest games to pick on my bracket. And I have BU beating Yale, though with a hot goalie there is always upset potential. Then I have have Boston U beating Duluth. Which led me to the question of how would UND match up against BU.

     

    '05 4-0 UND Wins (Easter Regional - Worcester)

    '08 5-1 UND Loses (Icebreaker - Boston)

    '12 4-2 UND Wins; 4-2 UND Loses (Grand Forks)

    '13 3-1 UND Loses; 3-3 Tie (Boston)

     

    Ultimately, the thought of playing BU doesn't scare me, but the idea of playing BU in Boston, is a little more daunting. We won a tourney game against them in Worcester, though that was in '04 and our success in Boston has not been great since then (We also lost to Yale in Worcester - NE Region '10). That being said, every year is different; different players, different teams. I think UND has the depth to win their region and the tourney, but only if they play their game.

     

    Can this be the year we finally get #8? Can we get out of Fargo and find success in Boston? Take care of business Friday! Go Sioux!

    Let me begin with I think this is the year we hang #8. We are the team to beat in this tournament, we won the regular season in the toughest confrence in all of the NC$$. Now people are going to bring up the argument, "Not after last weekend, were not the team to beat." Oh we still are the team to beat IMO because last weekend meant very little in the Big Picture because if UND had won the tournament they would probably be playing in a tougher bracket than they are. Come National Tournament time on Friday the guys in the locker room are going to be so tuned in and ready to play SIOUX HOCKEY  that their wont even be a smidgen of rememberance from last weekend. Now every game is 1-and-done and the guys know it, so they are going to leave it all out on the ice and skate to #8.

    The way i see it is that UND just lost to two teams from the NCHC the most dominant force in NC$$ hockey. They barely lost to St. Cloud, IMO if UND would have played Sioux Hockey the last minutes of the first period on friday they wouldn't have gone into the locker room shell shocked. The boys came out hard in the second and third periods and only got scored on again with Zano "insano"  sitting on the bench. In conclusion if UND can play shut down hockey (as we all know they can) they should be able to come out on friday and take it to Quinnipiac and make them play to the will of the game we call SIOUX HOCKEY. I believe these men have burnt their ships and are not willing to accept anything but conquest.
