Just by the amount Murphy played on Saturday,my best guess Cag-LJ-Parks Pattyn- Schmaltz-Murphy?? Gaarder line Chyz-St.Clair-Poolman

I have no doubt that this team will show up and compete in Fargo. The team has struggled without Mac, however they did go into Miami and won a gritty game to clinch Penrose. No doubt that Zane is going to have to come up huge for this team to advance. They have to find a way to score 3 goals to win Friday's game. My guess is Gaarder's line will score a goal this Friday (hoping its OD). What would be the best line combinations for the other 3 lines?

Pooly Cag Parks Pattyn Schmaltz LJ OD Gaarder Pogo Panz or Olson with Chyzyk and St. Clair

solution-play the so called 4th line more, the puck always seem to be in the opponents zone when their on the ice. They also scored a goal that went in and didn't count on the shift right after Denver scored to make it a 1 goal game. Would have given the team another chance to protect another 2 goal game.

What if the coaches put the top 3 goal scorers on the top line and then the next 3 on the next line etc 16 (13g) 9 (11g) 15 (9g) they were the top line in the country at one point 21 (9g) 27 (6g) 29 (6g) OD and Chyz speed would benefit LJ 28 (5g) 13 (3g) 8 (3g) these guys could create lots of space for 8. 14 (3g) 11 (3g) 17 (2g) this would also be a good line. Obviously Tucker has 6 however most of his goals are as a dman on pp. #3 IMO best days ahead of him are as a Dman. I know theres way more strategy to picking lines.

Not sure if that was the case that line may have played 5 shifts together in the whole game, because of special teams, not sure if Poganski had a shift in the 3rd.

CC must be playing much better, did anybody notice in the game that they lost 4-1 to OMAHA they only gave up 14 shots, 3 in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd and 6 in the 3rd. That's impressive.

I totally agree with you re: #7 and PP. OD and Chyz have 9 goals and 5 goals respectively and you play a guy with 0 goals in 2 years ahead of them???. I also agree with Panz and Thompson, you notice Thompson's offensive ability more and I think its because he knows Panz is a stay home D. You don't notice Panz that much but that means he's doing his job perfectly. Not sure I agree with the top line, IMO you need to put #9 back on top line. Cagg was leading country in scoring and against a team he should light up he gets 0 goals and 1 assist.

I'm guessing that all the lines and d-pairs will be the same as Sat game vs UMD

OD was on the top line Friday. Lower 6 role last night...4th line. He definitely tends to play better when he is in a lower 6 role. His skill set gives him more of an advantage for success when he is in those 3rd or 4th line matchups. ​Sorry you did say 3rd or 4th….regardless pretty sure Hak didn't match lines on the weekend….he tends to have certain dmen on ice re match ups.

What is it that you like about the NS Drake and Chyz line? I really like Chyz and Drake however on the weekend that line accumulated 1 goal 1 assist 9 shots on goal and were minus 4? Also are you saying every time Gaarder line was out they played against UMD's 4th line and that why that line had success? I usually like your post but it seems to me you always see the best in certain players and the worst in others. You're better than that.

IMO I believe Murphy is getting more confident and playing much better now. I'm sure his goal scoring slump will end soon. With that said however I could think of a few players I would have on the PP ahead of him.

Totally agree re: Panz and Zane was very clutch. Not sold on Poolman on the wing especially in a top 6 role.

Not sure I would agree with that statement. That shift was a disaster. IMO #8 should have taken out UNO Dman instead of flying zone. UNO was the better team tonight however I was expecting to see a more skilled team. I think UND will be much better tonight. If you had no history (where they were drafted) with any of the dmen playing last night for UND and had to give a fair assessment #24 would be sitting out tonights game. #20. #6 and #5 were probably your better dmen last night. Some of the other dmen were lucky that their turnovers didn't result in UNO goals. #2 is unbelievably good on PK but I don't think he had a great game.
