I agree with everyone that he looked solid. I thought he was strong on the puck, but needs to work on his speed/quickness...he could also get back to the defensive zone a little faster (read: put a little more effort in to his back-checking). Hopefully he cathes up to the speed of the game.

I agree with all the Kristo talk, but the person who absolutely shined tonight was Gleason. I sit right on the ice, and that kid moves great. He always knew what to do with the puck which is (quite frankly) something I haven't seen a lot of from Freshmen Sioux defensemen in the past. The future is very bright for this kid. Also, a comment about Dell, the new Goalie. Did anyone else notice his side-to-side speed? Again, I sit right down by the goalie, and that guy moves quicker than most goalies I have seen over the years. He is also very quick at getting back to his feet after the whole partial-butterfly thing. I'm not saying he is the next great goalie yet, but again, I was really impressed with his movement.

For those having problems getting the webcast working, I just updated my real player at their website. Now the webcast runs fine.

Right now (as of tonight) 3 of the top 5 goal scorers in the NHL are from the WCHA. I'm sure this will change throughout the year, but I think that's pretty cool, even if two are former gophs... Current NHL Goal Leaders

I have 3 tickets in section 108, Row H seats 22, 23 and 24 that I will not be using for the Saturday game. Two are adult tickets, one is a youth. The youth ticket can be converted to an adult ticket for $15 at the box office. I am asking $75 for the group. You can pick these up at my house prior to the game, or I can meet you somewhere (I live in Grand Forks).

The good news is...we will know who is right in a year.

Since we were talking about next year, I want to go on record as saying Martens will have at least a 30 point season next year. Mark my words, I will rekindle this thread a year from now (wrong or right)!

I agree with the original poster...I had the exact same thoughts watching the game tonight. I think the WCHA clearly got exposed in the NCAAs. I've also wondered if its our officiating, or some other reason. But right now, I think we all have to live with the fact that some teams in Hockey East and the CCHA have either caught up, or the talent in the WCHA has gone down. Either way, the Sioux were the best team in the WCHA this year, and maybe the fourth or fifth best in the country (at present). Don't get me wrong, this could easily change again next year...and I hope it does. Still a great season for the Sioux!

Guess I'm no longer a customer...what makes it worse is I made him go ask a supervisor. I just called Midco back, and now they are saying it's not (repeat not) going to be on. I guess I'll tune in to 23 anyway...who knows...

Just got off the phone with Midcontinent. The rep told me that the game will be on in GF on channel 23. I was too excited to ask about other cities...sorry. Their number is 800-888-1300 for more info. I told the rep if he was wrong that I would no longer be a customer.

Hello all, I have a great download speed with my broadband. DSLReports clocks it at 480, somtimes faster. The webcast stalled for me as well. It froze. I don't think anyone should be charged for this service. We should all get refunds. Maybe if the technology catches up to reality, then charge. Well, it's back to the radio for me. My two cents.
