That's where the work is done!!

I will be interested in seeing (hearing) how the 2014 recruiting class on the defensive side of the ball will come into Spring program. Especially with the dawn of a new era of Sioux Football. The current inventory of RS players are looking to prove themselves and have continued to work hard in the gym. The handful of players that I get to hear about like Norberg, Reyes, and Wharton have all put on some quality lbs., eating right (quality and quantity), and excited about preparing for what the coaches are asking from them. I hope that has been the case with the entire roster. That should be a positive indicator as to the "buy-in" of the system and team philosophy that Coach Bubba is expecting.

You want to start the paperwork?? (haha) Here it is: The Economic Sciences Prize Committee The Economic Sciences Prize Committee at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences is responsible for the selection of candidates for the Prize in Economic Sciences from the names submitted for consideration by qualified nominators, who have been invited through formal letters. Haha geaux......no question!!! Or maybe an ESPY for the way it changed American sports recruiting. It has completely transformed athletic recruiting. Talent that would've never been discovered now have a legitimate chance to find a home. My first son was still relying on sending DVDs and paying for an expensive webpage. Now kids of all socioeconomic strata have the same benefits.

I think with explosive DEs with 250-type size along with a larger/quicker Sam/Will LBs can wreak havoc for any offensive backfield. There is no doubt that we are getting bigger with the 2013/2014 recruiting classes on Defense. Our LB core and secondary are filling up with many 6'+ players weighing closer to 220-230+ with long arms and quick feet. Don't discount football acumen. I can attest that many of the players we are talking about are smart players. Being in the right place at the right time is as important as size!!

Formerly recruited the West Coast (California/Arizona).

BTW. I understand that Coach Bubba has the entire team at the Betty!!

The impression I am getting appear very good. Motivated!

Being from California, Coach Nurse did a fantastic job of getting these young men to understand the value and advantage of coming to UND. After several recruiting visits (University of San Diego, San Diego State, NAU, etc), none left the same impression the staff did last year. As a father, which many of you understand, I felt I can entrust my son to this program and staff. So kudos to the previous staff!! As far as change, I learned from following the forum for the past year that things did need to change. A program like UND must win more than 3 games. I saw some talented individuals this past season; operative word individuals. If Bubba can get this engine running on all cylinders with aggressive, disciplined approach, with all three phases of the game, we're gonna see a winning program.

Great to hear! As much as "things" needed to change with the coaching staff, I have to say the coaching staff did a great job last year putting this class together. I have no doubts that Bubba and the new staff will take it to the next level with recruiting (just give them time).

Just passing on some inside perspective that I get from some a few of these kids. Can't wait to see the whole thing come together this next season.

Need to be as mentally tough as they are physical. For kids to succeed at this level of football, they have to be dedicated and coachable. Sounds like Bubba and Company will expect nothing less.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. It’s hard to believe a year has gone by since our visit last year. I can say with experience, that the program presents well and has a lot to offer any recruit looking for a high-quality education, great facilities, and high-character coaches. Now we need to win games and the rest will take care of itself. My understanding is that the aforementioned players are participating with the visits this weekend. There's nothing like "new" enthusiasm! Hope we clean up with another great weekend of commits.

I just want to introduce myself as a new Sioux fan! I've been following your discussions & debates which illustrate the passion and fire that exists with this Flagship University. I feel like I know more about UND football than I do my favorite NFL team. As a lifetime sports fan, former athlete, and youth coach of every sport imaginable, I find that UND does an excellent job with keeping parents and alumni in touch with ALL UND athletics. I am also the proud father two sons that play college football, one of which proudly joined the Fighting Sioux with the 2013 recruiting class (Hunter Wharton #42) and the other plays for Air Force. He not only rooms with Cole Reyes, his mother and Cole's mother were High School friends from Brawley California (6 degrees of separation). That's right; Cole and Hunter were born in the same town! I just wanted you guys to know that Reyes, Wharton, and Norberg (and many others) are dedicated kids that eat, drink, and live UND football. They speak highly of all coaches the kids in their class and are truly motivated to bring this program back to prominence. The future looks bright!
