  1. in the game last year, they put a lot of pressure on our QB.  I saw that Barton was limping off of the field after Saturdays game.  the o-line play will definitely factor in this game if the blitz like they did last year.  hope Rudolph has a few more fresh ideas up his sleeve.

  2. Based of what we have seen this year from Molberg, there is a reason why. He can't complete passes or stop the turnover problem, and holds the ball to long when he does throw. Right now he is like a lost puppy out there, give him a break as his head isn't there right now.

maybe the next few defesenses we face will give him a break if we ask nicely.

  3. As far as athletics go, the phrase: "something called Stony Brook" fits just fine, in my opinion.  UND should wipe the floor with programs like this athletically.

"They made the FCS playoffs a few years ago." I little arrogant to assume we would "wipe the floor" with a team that has been atleast good enough to make FCs playoffs.  my prediction, 13-10 sioux

  4. we could possibly be the worst offense if the FCS?

if you measure by those 3 stats, assuming other schools might specialize is passing, or rushing.......day by day, I guess we need to have some patients.  It is a tough wait.

  5. The last two coaching staffs seem to have fallen into the"molberg trap" Recruited by many schools, the best recruiting 20 years, lots of hype, Mus would have made his profile picture our new team logo. His physical tools have blinded the coaching staff, probably easy to do in thie three-quarter speed quarterback reps they get in practice. Not too hard to look good when you're practicing with the ones offense against the three defense. We'll see how he does this week against a weaker opponent. If it's bad, change it up! So what if our other QBs don't do any better. At least you're trying something different

  6. I am a Bubba fan as well, especially when compared to Muss.  just because we hired a new coach doesn't mean other colleges are going to quit battling us for all of the top recruits.  I agree that knowing the right kinds of kids to fit his football O/D schemes should improve over time.  it is just going to take a LONG time.  in the interim, some success will definably play a factor the type and talent level of the kids we do get.  it seems to me that just by saying that we are going to "ground and pound" and saying we are going to "bring back Bubba's defensive prowess" is somehow going to magically make it happen.  Day by Day......

  7. My take is only from the scrimmage 2 weekends ago, but would agree on the part that he isn't ready right now.  He did make some nice throws but looked like he struggled all around for the most part.  Thought Mollberg looked better than Bartels but didn't get to see all of their reps.  Also agree that if neither of the two step up, something will have to be done.

is it possible that molberg and bartels looked better in practice last year with better receivers and a weaker secondary to practice against.  might be a reflection of how much better our secondary is this year.  ???

  8. Considering he had been the OC for 7 years and an assistant head coach for 4 on some pretty successful teams, I thought he was a good choice at the time.  Not sure what kind of talent an outside search would have brought with the first year of transition coming up either.

hind sight = 20/20.  I am just glad he is gone and we are moving forward.

  9. From Tom Miller:

Hopefully with 2 a day practices we will see some separation in key positions like RB, and QB.

molberg has the physical advantage, Bartels has the mental advantage, at least for now. it will be interesting to see what is more important as it pertains to the new offense
