I remember that one, I just remember a ref got hit then called the penalty. Wideman hit a linesman not a ref. BCHL had two in the last couple of years, the ASU recruit slashed the ref and another checked one from behind. The former ASU player Zucarrini was suspended for the rest of the season.

I think I saw a player checked a ref this year college or pro, I can't remember. But the player was ejected and it looked like he did it on purpose.

Soucy got a 5 in overtime against CC, he should have been suspended. The guy from Western Michigan that got 3 majors in 2 games is another, I'm sure others have had penalties that should/could be suspendable.

Wasn't his a NCAA one? If Haviland was the only one and there should have a few others then I don't see the NCHC suspended Borgen.

I agree, he didn't stop running his mouth until he got on the bench. I had a teammate that touched a ref to argue a call I got (he wanted to ask the ref why he called the penalty). He sat in the box the rest of the game.

I still hope Gwozdecky ends up there.
